Andrianjafynandriamanitra [Andrianjafinjanahary], King of
Avaradrano and Imerinatsimo, eldest son of King
Andriambelomasina, King of Avaradrano and Imerinatsimo,
by his first wife, Queen Rasoherimananitany [Rasoherina].
Appointed as Heir Apparent by his father. Succeeded on
the death of his father, ca. 1770. Weary of the cares of
government, he left state affairs to his courtiers and
favourites, who took advantage of his weakness to amass
fortunes for themselves and alienated his subjects.
Deposed by Prince Ramboasalamarazaka during an absence
from the capital. Retreated to Ilafy after failing to
retake the town. Attempted to retake Ambohimanga several
times over a period of seven years, but failed each time.
m. Ranavalondrajaka, of Illafy. He was k.
(strangled) by adherents of Prince Ramboasalamarazaka, at
Ilafy, 1790 (bur. secretly in a nearby rice pit),
having had issue, two sons and one daughter:
