King Andriamasinavalona [Andrianjakanavalondambo], King
of Imerina, by his third wife, Ramananimerina, educ.
privately.Granted Imerinatsimo (or South Imerina)
as his fief, including Antananarivo, Alasora,
Ambohitrandriamanira, Antsahadinta and Ivatobe.
Established his capital at Antananarivo. Succeeded as
King of Imerinatsimo on the death of his father, 1710. m.

daughter of King Andriantsimitoviaminandriandehibe, King

Andriamifonozozoro [Rafononizozoro], of Androibe,
son of Prince Andriandambozozoro, of Sambaina, by
his wife, Rasohanamanjaka. She d. 17xx (bur.
there at the Tranomasina, Mahandrihono) had
issue, five sons and eight daughters - see Madagascar
(Imerina).
*Note: Princess
Ranavalonmanambonitany also had further issue by a
previous husband, a son and a daughter, who were made
heirs to Imerinatsimo by their uncle, King
Andrianmasinavalona - see Imerinatsimo 2.

Andriambalohery, King of Imerinatsimo, younger son of
King Andriamponimerina, King of Imerinatsimo, by his
wife, Queen Ramanantsahalarazaka, educ. privately.
Succeeded on the death of his elder brother, ca. 1780. He
d. (sp?) ca. 1787.
1787 - 1798 King
Andrianamboatsimarofy, King of Imerinatsimo, son of
Princess Ramananimerina, daughter of King
Andriamponimerina, King of Imerinatsimo, educ.
privately. Succeeded on the death of his maternal uncle,
ca. 1787. Defeated and expelled from Antananarivo by King
Andrianampoinimerina, 1796. He retreated, first to
Anosizato and then to Fenoarivo, in Ambodirana, where he
re-established his kingdom. He then made several sallies
to retake Antananarivo, finally ahcieving his aim after
many attempts, while King Andrianampoinimerina busied
himself with the New Year festivities. Expelled by him
again after three failed attempts at retaking his former
capial. m. (first) (k. by her
hsuband, 1782). m. (second) 1776, Queen
Ratsimiantahanasoa [Ratsimala] (m. second, King
Imboasalama Andrianampoinimerina, King of Imerina),
daughter of King Andrianjafynandrianmanitra, King of
Avaradrano. He d. (probably from the effects of
alcohol poisoning), at Fenoarivo, 1798 (bur.
there, later interred at Antsahadinta in 1918), having
had issue, one son and one daughter:

Ravaonimerina [Ravao]. m. (first) 1792,
King Andriantomponimerinamandimby, King of
Imarovatana (k. by strangulation, at
Ambohidratrimo, June 1803, bur. there),
second son of Queen Ramanandrianjaka II, Queen of
Imarovatana, by her second husband, Rabezaka, of
Anosinimerina. m. (second) 1803, after the
death of her first husband, King Imboasalama
Andrianampoinimerina, King of Imerina (b.
at Kaloy, 1740; d. at Antananarivo, 1810),
third son of Andriamiaramanjaka, of Anjafy and
Kaloy, by his wife, Princess
Ranavalonandriambelomasina, daughter of King
Rakotomavo Andriambelomasina, King of Avaradrano.
She was k. ca. 1808, on the orders of her
husband, having had issue, two children by her
first husband (see Madagadcar-Imarovatana),
and two children by her second (see Madagascar-Imerina).
1798 - 1803 King
Andriamaromanompo [Ramaromanompo], King of Imerinatsimo,
only son of King Andrianamboatsimarofy, King of
Imerinatsimo, educ. privately. Succeeded on the
death of his father, 1798. Submitted to King
Andrianampoinimerina 1803 and his kingdom absorbed into
Imerina. Thereafter, allowed to live freely at Mangarano,
west of Merimandroso. He was k. (murderd on the
orders of King Andrianampoinimerina), about seven years
after his submission, at Isoavimasoandro, ca. 1810 (bur.
there in secret), having had issue, a son and a daughter:

Andrianampoinimerina, King of Imerina, and
