Granted the title of Raja di-Hiler 10th May 1934, prom to Raja Bendahara Wakil us-Sultan Wazir al-Kabir 15th October 1938, and appointed as Heir Apparent with the title of Tuanku Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam 12th July 1948. Cmsnd as 2nd-Lieut FMSVF 1941, volunteer Giu Tai 1944-1945 but secretly employed with “Force 136” 1945, transferred Malay Regt 1951, served in Malayan Emergency in Pahang and Negri Sembilan, prom Capt 1/5/1954, retd as Maj, Colonel-in-Chief the Royal Regiment of Engineers 1968-1984.
