1636 - 1654 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah II Jalilu'llah ibni al-Marhum Raja Mahmud, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak, son of Raja Asif [Ishak] ibni al-Marhum Sultan Khoja Ahmad [al-Marhum Kasab], of Siak, by his wife, Tun Dharmapala Johara [Tun Kechil], daughter of Tun Isap Misai bin Tun Mahmud, Bendahara Sri Raja Tua, of Johor. Installed as Sultan of Perak by the Acehnese in 1636. Entered into treaty relations with the VOC, 15^th December 1653. m. (first) a daughter of Y.A.M. Raja Inu ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad Taj ud-din Shah, Raja Kechil Lasa. m. (second) at Aceh, after 1618, Y.A.M. Putri Fatima Puteh binti Raja 'Abdu'llah (d. when her children were young), elder daughter of Y.A.M. Raja 'Abdu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l-Ghafur Mohi ud-din Shah, Raja Muda of Pahang, by his wife, Putri Perak, granddaughter of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah I ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak. m. (third) Inche' Prabhu [Perbu], a former slave. He d. at Geronggong, after 15^th December 1653 (bur. Kampung Air Mati, Lambor Kanan, Parit), having had issue, five sons and two daughters, including three sons and two daughters by his first wife:

1) Y.T.M. Raja Mahmud, who succeeded as H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak (s/o Putri Fatima Puteh) - see below. Copyright©Christopher Buyers
2) H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda (s/o Putri Fatima Puteh). He d. at Pulau Tiga, before 1720, having had issue, seven sons and four daughters:
- a) Y.T.M. Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Radin, Raja Muda, who succeeded as H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Ala' ud-din Mughayat Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak - see below.
- b) Y.T.M. Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Inu, Raja Muda, of Bernam, who succeeded as H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah III Johan Berdaulat Per Alam Jalalu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak - see below.
- c) Y.A.M. Raja 'Abdu'l-Jalil ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah.
- d) Y.A.M. Raja Daha ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Raja Kechil Muda. He d. after 1752, having had issue:
  - i) A daughter. m. as his first wife, Y.A.M. Raja Alam [Khalim] bin Raja Bendahara, Raja Kechil Besar, son of the Raja Bendahara of Kedah, by his wife, Y.A.M. Raja Puteh binti al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda.
- e) Y.T.M. Raja Vishnu [Raja Bisnu], who succeeded as H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak - see below. Copyright©Christopher Buyers
- f) Y.A.M. Raja 'Abdu'l-Hamid ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah. He had issue, one son and three daughters:
  - i) Y.T.M. Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Chulan bin Raja 'Abdu'l-Hamid, Raja Muda. Granted the title of Raja Kechil Besar September 1752, prom. to Raja Bendahara April 1766, and appointed as Heir Apparent with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam 1773. A well known historian and author of the "Misa Melayu". m. (first) a Royal wife. m. (second) Che' Mek Anjong, daughter of Dato' 'Usman bin Dato' Haji Besar Daing Selili, Sri Maharaja Lela, of Kota Lama. He d. at Pulau Juar, 10^th February 1787, having had issue, one son and two daughters:
    - (1) Y.M. Raja Kasim bin Raja Chulan (s/o Meh Anjong). m. (div. 1825) Y.A.M. Raja Andak binti al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad ud-din Shah, eldest daughter of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Ahmad ud-din Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak, by his fourth wife, Dato' Nah binti Dato' Jambu, daughter of Dato' Jambu, Kramat Sungkei Durjan. He had issue, one daughter:
      - (a) Y.A.M. Raja Nuteh Meh Salama binti Raja Kasim, Raja Che' Puan Besar. m. H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Shahab ud-din Ri'ayat Shah Safiu'llah ibni al-Marhum Raja Inu Muhammad Saleh, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak (d. 1851), only son of Y.A.M. Raja Inu Muhammad Saleh ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad ud-din Shah, Raja Kechil Lasa, by his wife, Y.M. Raja Mas Irang binti Raja Inu, daughter of Y.T.M.     - (1) A daughter. m. at Pulau Besar Indira Mulia, Perak, December 1770, H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Saleh ud-din Shah ibni al-Marhum Raja Chelak, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Selangor (b. ca. 1705; d. 1778), second son of H.H. Raja Chelak bin Daeng Rilaga, Yang di-Pertuan Muda of Riau, by a junior wife - see Malaysia (Selangor).
    - (2) Y.M. Raja Long Irang Juma'at binti Raja Chulan (d/o the Royal wife). m. Y.M. Raja 'Abdu'l-Rahman bin Raja Inu (k. as he was about to run amok in the Palace), son of Y.T.M. Raja Inu ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah, Raja Bendahara, by his wife, the Che' Puan Tengah. She was k. by her husband as she came up from her bath - see above.
    - (3) Y.A.M. Raja Chu binti Raja Chulan, Raja Che' Puan Besar (d/o the Royal wife). m. Y.T.M. Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Radin Shahidu'llah bin Raja Inu, Raja Muda (k. in an attack by Inche' Sadan), younger son of Y.T.M. Raja Inu ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah, Raja Bendahara, by his wife, the Che' Puan Tengah - see above.
  - i) A daughter. m. H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Ala ud-din Mansur Shah Iskandar Muda Khalifat ur-Rahman Sulong ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak, third son of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak - see above.
  - ii) Y.A.M. Raja Che' Puan Tengah. m. Y.T.M. Raja Inu ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah [Marhum Tengah], Raja Bendahara, son of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak - see above.
  - iii) Another daughter m. Y.M. Raja Zainal [Sinala] bin Raja Bendahara, younger son of her paternal aunt, Y.M. Raja Puteh binti al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah.
- g) Y.A.M. Raja Iskandar [Bongsu] ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Raja Bendahara.

- b) Y.A.M. Raja Puteh binti al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah. m. the Raja Bendahara from Kedah, and had issue, two sons:
  - i) Y.A.M. Raja Alam [Khalim] bin Raja Bendahara, Raja Kechil Besar (cre. 1746). Minister of State to Sultan Muzaffar Shah during his exile at Kuala Kangsar ca. 1742-1750. Rebelled at Batu Gantang, then captured by the Dutch and imprisoned or killed at Malacca. m. (first) a daughter of his maternal uncle, Y.A.M. Raja Daha ibnu al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Raja Kechil Muda, by whom he had issue, two sons. m. (second) at Tanjong Putus, before 1765, a daughter of Inche' Khasil, a Harun. He had issue, a son:
    - (1) Sri Paduka Analianda Raja 'Abdu'llah bin Raja Khalim.
  - ii) Y.M. Raja Zainal [Sinala] bin Raja Bendahara. m. a daughter of his maternal uncle, Y.A.M. Raja 'Abdu'l-Hamid ibnu al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah.
- c) Y.A.M. Raja Siti binti al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah.
- d) Y.A.M. Raja Seni binti al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah.
3) the Raja Kanayan al-Marhum Bidara (s/o Inche' Prabhu). He left issue, the Rajas of Selat Pulau and Kampar.
4) Y.A.M. Raja Muzaffar ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah (s/o Putri Fatima Puteh). He had issue, one daughter:
- a) H.H. Raja Perempuan. Appointed as Yang di-Pertuan Tua following the death of her husband in 1754. m. her first cousin, H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah III Jalalu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak (d. at Brahmana Indra, 30^th August 1754, bur. at Kampung Selat, Kota Kanan, Parit), third son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda. She had issue - see below.
1) Y.A.M. Raja Shah 'Alam Muda binti al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah (d/o Putri Fatima Puteh).
2) Y.A.M. Raja Shah 'Alam Bongsu binti al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah [al-Marhum Mangkat di-Sayong] (d/o Putri Fatima Puteh). She d. at Sayong.

1654 - 1720 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Shah Auliau'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah [al-Marhum Besar], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak. b. 1641*, eldest son of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah II Jalilu'llah ibni al-Marhum Raja Mahmud, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak, by his wife, Putri Fatima Puteh binti Raja 'Abdu'llah, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1654. Installed while stille an infant, by Sultana Ratu Taj ul-'Alam of Aceh. Reigned under her regency, until her death, 9^th October 1675. He d.s.p.m. 1720 (bur. Kampung Jawa, Pulau Tiga).

* NB: some accounts mention that he was substituted for a female child, and that Princess Shah Alam Limau Purut was smuggled out of the palace. The girl later became the saint of Upper Perak (Tol Temong) and presented the reigning Sultan with a talisman of petrified dew (the gliga embon), now forming part of the Perak regalia.

1720 - 1728 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Ala' ud-din Mughayat Ri'ayat Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah [al-Marhum Sulong], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, eldest son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda. Adopted by his uncle, Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Shah. Appointed as Heir Apparent with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam by his uncle and adopted father. Succeeded on his death, 1720. He d. at Sulung, 1728 (bur. Kampung Jawa, Pulau Tiga), having had issue, one son and one daughter:

1) Y.A.M. Raja Kechil Bongsu.
1) H.H. Raja Kechil Ampuan. m. ca. 1750, H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mahmud Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak (d. 17^th June 1773), third son of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak. She had issue, - see below.

1728 - 1742 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah III Johan Berdaulat Per Alam Jalalu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah [al-Marhum Hajiu'llah], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak (first time) - see below.
