1636 - 1654 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah II Jalilu'llah ibni al-Marhum Raja Mahmud, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak, son of Raja Asif [Ishak] ibni al-Marhum Sultan Khoja Ahmad [al-Marhum Kasab], of Siak, by his wife, Tun Dharmapala Johara [Tun Kechil], daughter of Tun Isap Misai bin Tun Mahmud, Bendahara Sri Raja Tua, of Johor. Installed as Sultan of Perak by the Acehnese in 1636. Entered into treaty relations with the VOC, 15th December 1653. m. (first) a daughter of Y.A.M. Raja Inu ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad Taj ud-din Shah, Raja Kechil Lasa. m. (second) at Aceh, after 1618, Y.A.M. Putri Fatima Puteh binti Raja 'Abdu'llah (d. when her children were young), elder daughter of Y.A.M. Raja 'Abdu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l-Ghafur Mohi ud-din Shah, Raja Muda of Pahang, by his wife, Putri Perak, granddaughter of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah I ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak. m. (third) Inche' Prabhu [Perbu], a former slave. He d. at Geronggong, after 15th December 1653 (bur. Kampung Air Mati, Lambor Kanan, Parit), having had issue, five sons and two daughters, including three sons and two daughters by his first wife:

1654 - 1720 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Shah Auliau'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah [al-Marhum Besar], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak. b. 1641*, eldest son of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah II Jalilu'llah ibni al-Marhum Raja Mahmud, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak, by his wife, Putri Fatima Puteh binti Raja 'Abdu'llah, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1654. Installed while stille an infant, by Sultana Ratu Taj ul-'Alam of Aceh. Reigned under her regency, until her death, 9th October 1675. He d.s.p.m. 1720 (bur. Kampung Jawa, Pulau Tiga).

* NB: some accounts mention that he was substituted for a female child, and that Princess Shah Alam Limau Purut was smuggled out of the palace. The girl later became the saint of Upper Perak (Tol Temong) and presented the reigning Sultan with a talisman of petrified dew (the gliga embon), now forming part of the Perak regalia.

1720 - 1728 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan 'Ala' ud-din Mughayat Ri'ayat Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah [al-Marhum Sulong], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, eldest son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda. Adopted by his uncle, Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Shah. Appointed as Heir Apparent with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam by his uncle and adopted father. Succeeded on his death, 1720. He d. at Sulung, 1728 (bur. Kampung Jawa, Pulau Tiga), having had issue, one son and one daughter:
 
1728 - 1742 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah III Johan Berdaulat Per Alam Jalalu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah [al-Marhum Hajiu'llah], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak (first time) - see below.
