Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Yusuf Sharif ud-din Muzaffar Shah Ghafiru’llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’llah Muhammad Shah Duran Sabatang, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of the State of Perak, eldest son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan ‘Abdu’llah Muhammad Shah I ‘Atiku’llah ibni al-Marhum Raja Kechil Bongsu ‘Abdu’l Rahman, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak, by his second wife, H.H. Raja Sharifa Ngah Amina binti Raja Alang Radin, Raja Perempuan, daughter of Y.A.M. Raja Alang Radin bin Sultan ‘Ala’ ud-din Shah. Appointed as Heir Apparent with the title of Tuanku Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam April 1875. Appointed as Regent of Perak with the style of His Highness, 30th March 1877. Crowned as Sultan, at Kuala Kangsar 11th May 1887. m. (first) Y.M. Toh Puan Fatima binti Toh Raja Indira Bongsu, Toh Puan Besar (bur. Sayong, Kuala Kangsar), daughter of Bentara Toh Raja Indira Bongsu bin Toh Mandu. m. (second) Y.M. Raja The Sharifa binti Raja Sayyid Hasan, former wife of H.H. al-Matukkal Billah ul-Jali Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan ‘Ali al-Mukammil Inayat Shah Nabiu’llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Shahab ud-din Ri’ayat Shah Safiu’llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Perak Dar ul-Ridzwan, and former wife of H.H. al-Mastur Bsetriu’llah al-Jamil Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Ismail Mu’ab ud-din Ri’ayat Shah ibni al-Marhum al-Sayyid Shaikh al-Khairat, Sultan of Perak, and daughter of Y.A.M. Raja Sayyid Husain bin Raja Sayyid Hitam al-Yahya, Raja Kechil Muda, by his wife, Y.A.M. Raja Uteh binti al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad Shah Johan Berdaulat Khalifatu’llah, Raja Cik Puan Muda, daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Ahmad Shah Johan Berdaulat Khalifatu’llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Malik Mu’azzam Shah Jamalu’llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda. m. (third) Cik Alang Maleka. m. (fourth) Cik Zainab. He d. at Sayong, Kuala Kangsar, 26th July 1887 (bur. there), having had issue, four sons and one daughter:
