of Kings of Ethiopia, by his first wife, Belen Saba, Ba’altehat, educ. privately. Baptised as Niwaya Krestos.
Succeeded on the death of his father, 1344. Crowned as Saifu
Ar’ad (he who makes the sword tremble). m.
