1799  H.H. Ma’afu-‘o-limuloa, 15th Tu’i Konokupolo, younger son of Mailelaumotomoto, 2nd Ma’afu-‘o- Tukui’aulahi, of Vaini. Succeed on the death of Talai Tupou (his half brother?), 21st April 1799. He was k. (murdered) during the night after his installation, 22nd April 1799.

1799 - 1812 H.H. Tupou Malohi, 16th Tu’i Konokupolo, fourth son of H.H. Mumui’i Topou’ila Mapatongiamanu, 13th Tu’i Konokupolo, by his fourth wife, Pe’e. Succeed on the death of his uncle, 22nd April 1799. Installed at the Pangai Green, Kolovai, Hihifo, 29th May 1799. Unable to enforce his rule he went into voluntary exile in Fiji in 1800, returning only in 1805. Established his capital at Nuku’alofa. Submitted to Finau-‘Ulukalala in 1806 and then settled on Ha’apai. m. Latuniua (m. second, H.H. Samuelio Fatafehi Laufilitonga, 39th Tu’i Tonga, by whom she had further issue), daughter of Kahomovailahi, 3rd Tuita, by his wife, Princess Fatafehi Latufuipeka, 5th Tamaha, eldest daughter of Latunipulu’i-teafua, 2nd Tu’i Lakepa, by his wife, Princess Fatafehi Nanasipau’u, 8th Tu’i Tonga Fefine. He d. on Ha’apai, 1812 (bur. at the Mala’e ‘Uiha, Ha’apai), having had issue, one son:
