wife, H.M. The Most High Queen Dulandukht, daughter of
His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Beshkén II
Orbeliani, Prince of Siunia, in Armenia and Lord of Lori
in Georgia. Raised to the throne of Imereti after the
death of his father-in-law, ca. 1445. m. H.M. The
Most High Queen Gulkhan [Gul Shara] (d. 1471),
widow of H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Giorgi (b.
1390; d. 1446), youngest son of H.M. The Most High
King Konstantini I, King of Georgia, and the only
daughter and heiress of His Splendour The Pious Prince of
High Rank Demetre, Duke of Imereti. He was k. by a
horse, while out on a hunt, 1455), having had issue, two
sons:

authorities to be Davit I, King of Kakheti) (s/o

The Most High King Bagrat II, by the will of our Lord,
King of the Abkhazis, Kartvelians, Ranians, Kakhetians
and the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah and Master
of all the East and West. b. ca. 1435, son of H.H.
The Most Brilliant Prince Giorgi, by his wife, H.H. The
Most Brilliant Princess Gulkhan [Gul Shara], daughter of
His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Demetre, Duke
of Imereti, educ. privately. Granted the title of
Duke of Kutais by King Giorgi VIII, on the death of his
stepfather, 1455. Defeated King Giorgi VIII at Chikhori
in 1462 and was crowned at Kutais. Lost Kutais to King
Giorgi VII in 1463. Crowned as King of Imereti at Kutais,
summer 1462. Seized control of Kartli in 1465 and was
recognised as H.M. The Most High King Bagrat VI, King of
all Georgia. Lost control of Kartli in 1466, but
re-conquered that kingdom in 1471. m. H.M. The
Most High Queen Eleni (d. 3rd November
1510). He d. 1478 (bur. St George's
Cathedral, Gelati), having had issue, at least three
sons:
1) H.H.
The Most Brilliant Prince Vakhtang. He d.v.p.
young.

our Lord, King of Kings, Absolute Master, Sovereign and
Dominator of the Abkhazis, Ranians, Kakhetians and the
Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah, towards the East,
the West, the South and the North, and the two thrones
and kingdoms of Imereti and Amiereti, second son of H.M.
The Most High King Bagrat VI, King of Imereti, by his
wife, H.M. Queen Eleni. Failed to secure the succession
at his father's death in 1478, but persisted in his
attempts to establish an independent kingdom and
eventually succeeding. Crowned as King at Kutais in 1483.
Lost the capital to King Konstantini II in 1485, but
recovered it again in 1489. Secured recognition as
independent sovereign in 1493. m. 1483, H.M. The
Most High Queen Thamar (d. at Kutais, 12th
March 1510, bur. St George's Cathedral, Gelati).
He d. at Kutais, 1st April 1510 (bur.
St George's Cathedral, Gelati), having had issue, four
sons and one daughter:

of Imereti and Amiereti. b. 1573, third son of
H.M. The Most High King Giorgi II, by his second wife,
H.M. The Most High Queen Rusudan, daughter of Prince
Shirvashidze, of Abkhazia. Deposed his nephew and seized
the throne, 1586. Defeated and captured by Mamia Dadiani,
who deposed and imprisoned him, 1589. m. 1586,
H.M. The Most High Queen Marekh, widow of the His
Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Quarqvare V,
Atabegi of Samtzkhé, and daughter of His Splendour
The Pious Prince of High Rank Levanti I Dadiani, Duke of
Dukes of Mingrelia. He d.s.p. in
prison at Fort Shketi, Odishi, 1590.

Shirvanshah and Shahanshah, towards the East, the West,
the South and the North, and the two thrones and kingdoms
of Imereti and Amiereti. b. 1565, son of H.H. The
Most Brilliant Prince Taimurazi, grandson of H.M. The
Most High King Aleksandri II. Proclaimed by Mamia Dadiani
and the principal nobles of the realm, after the
deposition of King Levanti I, 1589. Deposed 1590. He had
issue, one son:
