1782 - 1792 H.M. The Most High King Davit II, by the will of our Lord, King of Kings, Absolute Master, Sovereign and Dominator of the Abkhazis, Ranians, Kakhetians and the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah towards the East, the West, the South and the North, and the two thrones and kingdoms of Imereti and Amiereti. b. 1756, as H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Giorgi, son of H.M. The Most High King Giorgi VIII, King of Imereti. Became Regent after the death of King Solomoni I, he seized the throne and proclaimed himself King with the reign name of Davit II, 4^th May 1784. Forced to abandon his throne when attacked by King Irakli II of Georgia, but returned when the latter faced an invasion by the Turks. Continued in rebellion until 1792, when he retreated into Russia, and was allowed to settle at Akhaltzykh. m. H.M. The Most High Queen Ana (b. 17^th July 1765 o.s.; d. at Moscow, 4^th June 1832 o.s., bur. Donskoï Monastery), who abandoned her children, was received with honour at Moscow and appointed as Governor (Pravitelnitza) of Mingrelia, rcvd: GC of the Order of St Catherine of Russia, daughter of General H.E. Prince Mamuka Jambakur-Orbeliani, by his wife, the youngest daughter of General His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Giorgi Kvenipneveli-Sidamoni, Duke of Ksani. He d. from smallpox while in exile at Akhaltzykh, 1795 (bur. Chkhar), having had issue, one son and four daughters:

1) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Konstantini [Tsarevitch Konstantin Davidovitch Imeretinski], Head of the Royal House of Imereti - see below.
1) H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Elizabed. b. 1775. m. Prince Svimeon Tsereteli (d. after 1829), third son of Major-General His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Zurab Tsereteli, sometime Lord Chamberlain of the Court of Imereti, by his wife, Her Splendour The Pious Princess of High Rank Thamar, daughter of Prince Dadiani of Mingrelia. She d. 3^rd February 1829 o.s. (bur. Mghwimi), having had issue, at least one son and one daughter.
2) H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Mariami-Thamar. b. 1781. m. before 1800, Prince Svimeon Shirvashidze, youngest son of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Giorgi Shirvashidze, Duke in Guria, by his wife, Her Splendour The Pious Princess of High Rank Khwarashan, daughter of the Duke of Radsha. She d. after 1833, having had issue, two sons and four daughters - see Georgia (Shirvashidze).
3) H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Marta. b. 1784. She d. unm.
4) H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Anastazia. m. before 1810, His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Davit Agiashvili, sometime Grand Master of the Household of Imereti. She d. before 1833.

King Davit II, also had issue, a natural son, by an unknown lady:

2) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Rustam [Kniaz Rustam Davidovitch Bagration-Davidov]. Granted the hereditary title of Kniaz Bagration-Davidov by Imperial ukaze 1804. He was k. in battle, 1820, having had issue, three sons and one daughter:
- a) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Vakhtang [Kniaz Vakhtang Rustamovitch Bagration-Davidov]. He d. 1846.
- b) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Tariel [Haidar Bey]. Settled in Turkey. Arrived in France with his brother in 1831, and returned in the suite of the Turkish Ambassador, Nuri Effendi in 1833. m. Princess Despina (b. 1820; d. 4^th January 1865 o.s.), younger daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Kaikhushru Gurieli, Duke of the Guria, by his wife, Her Splendour The Pious Princess of High Rank Elizabed, daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Kaikhushru Shirvashidze, Duke in Guria. He d. ca. 1843.
- c) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Solomoni [Kniaz Solomon Rustamovitch Bagration-Davidov]. He may have left issue.
- a) A daughter. m. 1804, Prince Spiridoni Nijeradze.

1792 - [1815] H.M. The Most High King Solomoni II, by the will of our Lord, King of Kings, Absolute Master, Sovereign and Dominator of the Abkhazis, Ranians, Kakhetians and the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah, towards the East, the West, the South and the North, and the two thrones and kingdoms of Imereti and Amiereti *. b. 1773, as H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Davit, son of H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Archili, by his wife, H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Eleni, fourth daughter of H.M. The Most Serene King Irakli II, King of Georgia. Raised to the throne on the recommendation of King Irakli II of Georgia, his maternal grandfather, as a compromise candidate, in order to end the divisions that had hitherto plagued the kingdom. Crowned under the title of Solomoni II, at Kutais, 1792. Accepted a Russian protectorate, 21^st April 1804 o.s. His kingdom being annexed in violation of the Treaty of Protection, by the Russians, 20^th February 1810. Fled to Akhaltsikhe, in Turkish territory, when warned of a Russian plan to kidnap and depose him, 11^th May 1810 o.s. Rcvd: Knt. of the Order of St Alexander Nevski in brilliants (1803). m. 1791, H.M. The Most High Queen Mariami (d.s.p. at St Petersburg, 18^th March 1841, bur. St Alexander Nevski Convent), exiled to Russia in 1811, eldest daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Katsia II Dadiani, Duke of Dukes of Mingrelia, by his first wife, H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Elizabed, youngest daughter of H.M. The Most High King Taimuraz II, King of Kartli and Kakheti. He d. at Trebizond, Turkey, 7^th December 1815 o.s. (bur. there at the Cathedral of St Gregory of Nyssa), having had issue, a son:

1) H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Davit [Kniaz David Solomonovitch Bagration-Davidov]. Some authorities indicate that he left descendants who also bore the title of Prince or Princess Bagration-Davidov.
