The Bagrationi (Bagration) Dynasty
GENEALOGY
1752 - 1766 and 1768 - 1782
H.M. The Most High King Solomoni I the Great, by the will
of our Lord, King of Kings, Absolute Master, Sovereign
and Dominator of the Abkhazis, Ranians, Kakhetians and
the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah, towards the
East, the West, the South and the North, and the two
thrones and kingdoms of Imereti and Amiereti. b.
1735, second son of H.M. The Most High King Aleksandri V,
King of Imereti, by his second wife, H.M. The Most High
Queen Thamar, daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince
of High Rank Prince Levanti Abashidze, sometime Governor
and Regent of Imereti, educ. privately. Succeeded
on the death of his father, March 1752. Forced to
relinquish the throne in favour of his cousin, Prince
Taimurazii, by the Turks, in 1766. Restored 1768. m.
(first) at Kutais, ca. 1752, H.M. The Most High Queen
Mariami (d. ca. 1780, bur. St George's
Cathedral, Gelati), elder daughter of His Splendour The
Pious Prince of High Rank Otia Dadiani, Duke of Dukes of
Mingrelia. m. (second) H.M. The Most High Queen
Gulkhana (b. 1730; d. 1800, bur. St
George's Cathedral, Gelati), daughter of Prince
Tzulukidze. He d. at Kutais, 23rd April
1782 (or 4th May 1784), having had issue, one
