Tengku Asma binti al-Marhum Sultan Sulaiman Badr ul-‘Alam Shah, Tunku Ampuan, educ. Alor Merah Malay Sch, Sultan Abdul Hamid Coll, and Iskandar Secondary Sch, Alor Star, Indian Military Acad (IMA), Dehradun, UP, and Coll of Military Engineering, Poona, Maharashtra, India, and Malaysian Inst of Management (MIM), Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Granted the title of Tunku Sri Paduka Raja Laksamana 28th November 1981, and prom to Tunku Paduka Maharaja Temenggong Angota Desa 1996.
