1716 - 1743 Svasti Sri Giriraj Chakrachudamani Narayantyadi Vividha Virudavali Sirajman Manonnat Shrimant Maharajadhiraj Nara Bhupal Shah, Raja of Gorkha. b. posthumously, at Tanahun, ca. 1697, eldest son of Sri Sri Sri Sri Maharajadhiraj Kumar Yuvaraj Virbhadra Shah, by his second wife, Sri Sri Sri Sri Maharajadhijkumari Yuvarani Malikavati Devi, daughter of Sri Sri Sri Raja Digvi Jaya Sen, Raja of Tanahun, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his grandfather, 1716. Expanded his territories considerably, taking them up to the borders of the principalities of Kantipur, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpattan. Laid claim to the Nepalese throne but failed in his attempt to take Katmandu and was forced to return to Gorkha, 1737. m. (first) at Kanchi, Sri Sri Maharani Chandra Prabhavati (d.s.p.), co-Regent with the title of Sri Chautaria Maharani together with her stepson 1737-1742, daughter of the Raja of Khanchi. m. (second) Sri Sri Rani Kaushalyavati Devi, daughter of Svasti Shriman Maharajadhiraj Sri Sri Sri Sri Shriman Maharaja Gundharva Sen Bahadur Devanam Sada Shamsher Vijayinam, Raja of Palpa. m. (third) Sri Sri Rani Konkavati [Buddhimati Devi] (d. at Gorkha, January 1723), of Parbat. m. (fourth) Sri Sri Rani Subhadravati Devi (d. by sati, April 1743), daughter of Sri Sri Sri Raja Kama Datta Sen, 6^th Raja of Tanahun. m. (a) Rani Premavati Sahib. m. (b) Rani Kalika [Kashika] Sahib. He d. at Bhongkote Ghat, 3^rd April 1743, having had issue, eight sons and nine daughters:

1) Sri Sri Sri Sri Maharaj Adhirajkumar Yuvaraj Brinda Keshar Shah. b. at Gorkha, 27^th December 1722 (on the same day as his half-brother Prithvi Narayan) (s/o Buddhimati Devi). He d. young.
2) H.H. Svasti Sri Giriraj Chakrachudamani Narnarayanetyadi Vividha Virudavali Virajamana Manonnata Shriman Maharajadhiraja Sri Sri Srimat Maharaj Prithvi Narayan Bahadur Shamsher Jang Devanam Sada Samar Vijayinam, Maharajadhiraja of Nepal (s/o Kaushalyavati) - see below.
3) Sri Sri Sri Raja Dala Mardan Shah, Raja of Patan (s/o Kaushalyavati). Elected as Raja of Patan by the ministers of that state in 1761. Deposed and ejected from Patan 1765. - a) Sri Chautaria Kuladip Chandra Shah. Blinded by Rana Bahadur. Counsellor of State 1840-1841. He d. after February 1854.
4) Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumar Prithvi Pal Shah (s/o Kaushalyavati).
5) Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumar Brinda Keshar Shah (s/o Buddhimati Devi).
6) General Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumar Shura Pratap Shah (s/o Buddhimati Devi). Appointed to the rank and title of Sri Kaji 1768. He was k. 177x, having had issue, a son:
- a) Ranaganj Shah.
7) General Sri Sri Sri Maharaj Adhirajkumar Kirti Mahadam Shah (s/o Subhadravati). Appointed to the rank and title of Sri Chautaria, and prom. to Sri Kancha Chautaria 20^th June 1779. Cdr. of the forces which conquered Lambjang. Exiled to Benares 1778-1779. m. Sri Kancha Chautariyani Jaya Kumari Rajya Lakshmi Devi, daughter of Babu Indrajit Singh. He had issue, three sons and two daughters:
- a) Pahalwan Shah. He had issue, two sons:
  - i) Bhim Rudra Shah.
  - ii) Bhim Pratap Shah.
- b) Sri Chautaria Bala Bbhadra Shah. Minister of State 1786, and 1793. Became an ascetic.
- c) Sri Chautaria Sri Krishna Shah. Governor of Kuti and Kerrong. He had issue, one son:
  - i) Vira Bhadra Shah. He d. after 1803.
- a) Kalavati Devi.
- b) Jayabhama Kumari.
Sri Sri Sri Maharaj Adirajkumar Kirti Mahadam Shah, also had issue, by a secondary wife:

8) Sri Sri Sri Maharaj Adirajkumar Daljit Shah (s/o Subhadravati). Appointed to the rank and title of Sri Kaji 1768, later prom. to Sri Chautaria, and Kancha Sri Chautaria 1776 to 20^th June 1779. Amalidar of Dolakha 1769-1775, imprisoned by his nephew 1775-1776, exiled to Benares 1779-1784.
1) Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumari Padma Kumari Devi (d/o Kaushalyavati). A dwarf, highly educated and intelligent, who participated in the administration of the state. She d. unm. 1793.
2) Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumari Bisaul Budana Devi (d/o Kaushalyavati).
3) Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumari Padma Budana Devi (d/o Buddhimati Devi).
4) Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumari Indu Budana Devi (d/o Buddhimati Devi).
5) Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumari Sarpavati Devi (d/o Buddhimati Devi).
6) Sri Sri Sri Adhirajkumari Hemanta Kumari Devi (d/o Buddhimati Devi).
