688 - 699 Raja Kanak Pal, Raja of Kedarkhand. A Panwar Kshatriya prince of the Agnivansha race, he arrived from Gujarat in 688 AD. Succeeded his father-in-law as ruler of Kedarkhand, who supposedly abdicated in his favour and retired to the Himalayas to become an ascetic. He then began the slow process of subduing the recalcitrant magnates and surrounding petty principalities in Garhwal. m. a daughter of Raja Bhanu Pratap, Raja of Kedarkhand. He d. 699, having had issue, a son:

1116 - 1131 Raja Vikram Pal
1131 - 1141 Raja Vichitra Pal [Vijaya Pal]
1141 - 1152 Raja Hansa Pal
1152 - 1159 Raja Som Pal [Sawarn Pal] [Soma Pal], Raja of Garhwal. He succeeded in completing the task begun by his ancestor, Kanak Pal, finally succeeding in establishing control over Garhwal.
