GENEALOGY
1632 - 1648 Rao Madho Singh Hada, Rao of Kotah. b. at Bundi, 18th May 1599, second son of Sarbuland Rai Ramraja Maharao Rattan Sahib Bahadur, Maharao of Haravati, educ. privately. Entered the Mughal service and served with distinction with the Imperial forces in a number of campaigns. Appointed to an Imperial mansab of 1,000 zat and 600 sowar in 1627, prom. to 2,000 zat and 1,000 sowar 1631, prom. to 2,500 zat and 1,500 sowar 1632, prom. to 3,000 zat and 1,600 sowar 1635, prom. to 2,000 sowar 1637, prom. to 2,500 sowar 1641, prom. to 3,000 sowar 1643. Granted the parganas of Kotah and Palaitha by Emperor Shah Jahan for his distinguished services at the Battle of Burhanpur, 1632. Appointed to several important posts includin those of Subadar of Burhanpur 1633-1637, and Killedar of Balkh 1645-1647. m. several wives. He d. at Kotah Fort, before 27th January 1648, having had issue, seven sons and seven daughters, including:
