1742 - 1750 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, third son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda. Adopted by his paternal uncle, Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Shah. Appointed as deputy ruler by his eldest brother with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Yang di-Pertuan Muda. Continued in that capacity when his second brother usurped the throne in 1728. Raised to the throne on his deposition, 1742. m. Che' Muda Pahang. He d. at Pulau Tiga, 1750 (bur. there at Kampung Gajah), having had issue, five sons and three daughters, including:

1728-1742 & 1750-1754 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah III Johan Berdaulat Per Alam Jalalu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah [al-Marhum Raja Haji Allah], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, second son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda. Appointed by his elder brother as Yang di-Pertuan Muda of Ulu Bernam with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah by his uncle and adopted father, Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Shah. Attempted to usurp his elder brother several times, finally succeeding in wresting the throne after his death in 1728. Expelled in favour of his younger brother in 1742, but continued to hold power at Kuala Kangsar and to rule half the state. Restored and invited back to the capital at Brahmana Indra, 1750. Entered into contractual relations with the Dutch, giving them a monopoly over the trade in tin, 1746. m. (first) H.H. Raja Perempuan, who became Yang di-Pertuan Tua after the death of her husband in 1754, daughter of Y.A.M. Raja Muzaffar ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Jalalu'llah. m. (second) ůHe d. at Brahmana Indra, 30th August 1754 (bur. Kampung Selat, Kota Kanan, Parit), having had issue, at least three daughters:

1754 - 1765 H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Iskandar Zulkarnain Inayat Shah Kaharu'llah Khalifat ur-Rahman Johan Berdaulat Zillu'llahi fil-Alam ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah Amaiu'llah [al-Marhum Kahar], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, eldest son of H.H. Maulana Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Shah Aminu'llah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, educ. privately. Appointed as Raja Kechil Muda 1743, and prom. to Heir Apparent with the title of Paduka Sri Tuanku Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam, 1750. Succeeded 30th August 1754 and adopted the styles and titles of Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Iskandar Zulkarnain Shah Khalifat ur-Rahman Johan Berdaulat Zillu'llahi fil-Alam. Removed his capital to Chempaka Sari in 1755, which he renamed Pulau Indira Sakti. m. (first) H.H. Che' Puteh Salama binti Dato' Paloh, Sri Paduka Mahadevi (cre. September 1752), daughter of Dato' Paloh, Panglima Kinta Sri Amar Wangsa di-Raja. m. (second) at Brahmana Indra, September 1752, H.H. Raja Budak Rasul binti al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah Hajiu'llah, Raja Perempuan (d. at Brahmana Indra, 1758), eldest daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah III Hajiu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, by the Raja Perempuan, daughter of Raja Muzaffar ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muzaffar Shah II Jalalu'llah. m. (third) 1758, the Raja Tengah Bongsu (d.s.p.), younger daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Muzaffar Shah III Hajiu'llah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Perak, by a junior wife. He d. at Istana Merchu 'Alam, Pulau Indira Sakti, 14th July 1765 (bur. there), having had issue, a son and a daughter:
