• 5) Lieutenat-General H.H. Prince (Yuan Fêng To Hoi To Lo Pei Lê) Manggultai Ako. b. 1587 (s/o Gundai), educ. privately. Granted the rank of Ho Shê To Lo Pei Lê 1616, demoted to To Hoi To Lo Pei Lê 1631. Lt-Gen. Blue Banner Corps 1613, Grand Councillor 1626-1629. m. 1614, younger sister of Prince Naiji (Naiji Pei Lê), Noyan of the Left Banner of Jarud Mongols. He d. by suicide, 11^th January 1633, whose descendants were expelled from the Imperial family in 1635, having had issue:
  • a) Ebulun. Executed 1630.
• 6) Prince (Fêng Ên Fu Kuo Kung) Tabai Ako [K'io-heou]. b. 1589 (s/o the Niuhulu concubine), educ. privately. He d. October 1639, having had issue:
  • a) Prince (Yuan Fêng To Lo Pei Lê) Aksin. Nei-ta-tch'en. He was k. 1669.
  • b) Prince (Fêng Ên Fu Kuo Kung) Bambursan. He was k. 1669.
  • c) Prince (Fêng Ên Fu Kuo Kung) Batuhai [K'o-hi].

• 7) General H.H. Prince Abatai Ako [Min], 1^st Prince Jao-yü (Jao-yü Ho Shê Ch'in Wang). b. 27^th July 1589 (s/o Yi-eul-ken Fei), educ. privately. Granted the title of To Lo Pei Lê 1626 (demoted 1641), prom. to To Lo Chün Wang Jao-yu1644, and finally to the posthumous rank of Ho Shê Ch'in Wang 1662. Minister for Public Works 1631, C-in-C (Feng-ming Ta Jiang-chun) exped. to China 1642 during which campaign he is said to have taken 94 towns and cities and 360,000 prisoners, He d. at Peking, 10^th May 1646, having had issue, at least four sons and a daughter:
  • a) H.H. Prince (Ku Shan Pei Tzu) Chang-kien [Hien-yi].
  • b) H.H. Prince (Ku Shan Pei Tzu) Bohoto [Wen-liang]. b. 1610. He d. 1648, having had issue:
    • i) Field Marshal H.H. Prince (Ku Shan Pei Tzu) Jang-tai. b. 1636, educ. privately. Succeeded his father as Fêng Ên Chên Kuo Kung 1648, prom. to Ku Shan Pei Tzu. Dep. Cdr. Hunan 1674, appointed as Fu-yuan Jiang-chun 1678, prom. General (Ting-yuan p'ing-k'ou Ta Jiang-chun) 1679, C-in-C in Kiangsi 1679. He d. 1690, having had issue, at least three sons:
      • (1) Pai-shou. Granted the title of Fêng Ên Chên Kuo Kung in 1668, but was deprived of all his ranks and titles 1688. He had issue:
        • (a) Wen-chao. b. 13^th February 1681. A noted poet of 21 collections. He d. 1732, having had issue:
          • (i) H.H. Prince (Fêng Ên Fu Kuo Kung) … Succeeded his uncle and adopted father, Prince Dun-ju in 1718.
      • (3) H.H. Prince (Fêng Ên Chên Kuo Kung) Dun-ju. b. 1658, educ. privately. He d. 1718.
  • c) Bolo [Ting]. b. 1612, educ. privately. C-in-C (P'ing-nan Ta Jiang-chun) of Chekiang 1646-1647, of Mongolia 1650. Granted the rank of Ku Shan Pei Tzu 1636, prom. to To Lo Pei Lê 1644, to the title of Prince Tuan-chung (To Lo Tuan-chung Chün Wang) 1647, and prom. to Ho Shê Tuan-chung Ch'in Wang 1649. Demoted and reinstated twice, but finally posthumously deprived of all his ranks and titles 1659. He d. 23^rd April 1652, having had issue:

  • d) Field Marshal H.H. Prince Yolo, 1^st Prince An (To Lo An Chün Wang) (cre. 1651) b. 1625, educ. privately. Granted the rank of Fêng Ên Chên Kuo Kung bf. 1646, prom. to To Lo Pei Lê 1649, succeeded his father as 2^nd Prince Jao-yü 1646, the designation being changed to An 1651, posthumously demoted to To Lo An Chün Wang 1701. MSC 1652, Presdt. Imperial Clan Court 1653-1675 and 1680-1689, prom. Field Marshal (P'ing-k'ou Ta Jiang-chun) 1674, C-in-C Kiangsi 1674-1680. m. (concubine) a daughter of General Soni, sometime Grand Minister of the Imperial Bodyguard. He d. 1689, having had issue, twenty sons and several daughters, including:
    • v) H.H. Prince Margun, 2^nd Prince (To Lo Chün Wang) An. b. 1663, educ. privately. He d. 1709, having had issue:
      • (1) H.H. Prince Hua-chi, 3^rd Prince (To Lo Chün Wang) An. b. 1625, educ. privately. He d.s.p. 1719.
    • xv) H.H. Prince Yolo-nun.
    • xvi) H.H. Prince Yun-tuan, 1^st Prince (To Lo Chün Wang) Chin. b. 1671, educ. privately. A poet of great fame. Later deprived of his princely rank. He d. 1704.
    • i) A daughter. m. 1663, Prince (To Lo Chün Wang) Abunai (d. 1675), former husband of Princess Makata, and younger son of Lighdan Khutuktu Khan, of the Chahar Mongols.
    • ii) A daughter. m. Kêng Chü-chung (d. 1687), younger son of H.E. Kêng Chi-mao [Chung-min], 2^nd Prince Ching-nan, of the Chinese Plain Yellow Banner.
  • e) A daughter. m. 1618, Li Yung Fang (d. 1634).
• 8) H.H. Prince (To Lo Pei Lê) Abahai [Hoang-t'ai-ki], who succeeded as H.M. T'ien-ts'ung, Emperor of Manchuria (s/o Empress Hsiao tz'u)- see below.
• 9) H.H. Prince (Fêng Ên Chên Kuo Kung) Babutai Ako [K'o-hsi]. b. 1592 (d/o Kia-mou-hou Fei), educ. privately. He d. 27^th February 1655, having had issue, two sons:

• 10) H.H. Prince (Yuan Fêng Ho Shê To Lo Pei Lê) Degelei Ako. b. 1596 (s/o Gundai), educ. privately. Granted the rank of T'ai Chi, prom. to To Lo Pei Lê 1626, and prom. to Ho Shê To Lo Pei Lê. Minister for Imperial Revenue. m. 1614, daughter of Eljige, Noyan of the Jarud Mongols. He d. suddenly, 11^th November 1635, and his descendants were expelled from the Imperial family.
• 11) Prince Babuhai Ako. b. 1596 (s/o Kia-mou-hou Fei), educ. privately. He d. 1643.
• 12) H.H. Prince Ajige Ako, 1^st Prince Ying (Yuan Fêng Ying Ho Shê Ch'in Wang). b. 28^th August 1605 (s/o Empress Hsiao Lieh), educ. privately. Granted the rank of To Lo Pei Lê 1625, prom. to the title of Wu-ying with the rank of To Lo Chün Wang 1636, and finally to the title of Ying with the rank of Ho Shê Ch'in Wang 1644. C-in-C (Ch 'ing-yuan Ta Jiang-chun) of Shensi 1644, prom. to Supreme Cdr. of the Left) Ting-hsiiTa Jiang-chun) 1649-1651, imprisoned and expelled from the Imperial clan 26^th January 1651. He d. (took poison), 28^th November 1651, having had issue:
  • a) Prince (Ku Shan Pei Tzu) Hou-tou.
  • b) Prince (Fêng Ên Chên Kuo Kung) Fou-lé-hé. Posthumously raised to the title of Prince (Kung) but later degraded.
  • c) A son, who had issue:

      • (1) A daughter. m. Nien Keng Yao (d. 1726), son of Nien Hsia Ling.
    • ii) Prince (Kung) Pu Chao. He d. 1724.
  • a) A daughter. m. General H.E. Prince Ming Ju (b. 1635; d. 1708), of the Manchu Plain Yellow Banner, Presdt. Brd. of Punishments 1668-1669, the Censorate 1669-1671, and Brd. of War 1671-1675, and the Civil Office 1675-1677, and Grand Secretary 1677-1688, a grandson of Prince Gintaisi.
• 13) Prince (Fêng Ên Fu Kuo Kung) Laimbu Ako [Kiai-tché]. b. 1611 (s/o Si-lin Fei), educ. privately. He d. June 1646, having had issue, a son:

• 14) General H.H. Prince Dorgon Ako [Chung], 1^st Prince Ché-tcheng Jui (Ché-tcheng Ho Shê Jui Ch'in Wang). b. in Manchuria, 17^th November 1612 (s/o Empress Hsiao Lieh), educ. privately. Granted the titles of To Lo Pei Lê 1627, Mergen Daicing (Wise Warrior) for his bravey 1628, and To Lo Chün Wang Jui 1638. Received the posthumous rank of Emperor with the temple name of Ch'eng-t'sung, 8^th February 1651 (cancelled 12^th March 1651). Restored to his former rank and granted the posthumous name of Chung in 1778. Lt-Gen. White Banner Corps 1627, C-in-C (Feng-ming Ta Jiang-chun) 1638, Grand Councillor 1643-1650, Uncle Regent 1644, and Imperial Uncle Regent 1645, Father Regent 1648, m. (first) 1635, Ching-shiao Chung-kung Cheng-kung Yuan Fei (d. 1640), raised to the posthumous title of Ching-shiao Chung-kung Cheng-kung Yuan Fei 1649, elder daughter of Prince Manjusri, of the Borijit clan of Korchin Mongols. m. (second) 1650, the widow of his nephew Prince Hauge, 1^st Prince Su. He d.s.p.m. at Kharahotun, near Jehol, 31^st December 1650 (succ. by his nephew and adopted son, Dorbo).
• 15) General H.H. Prince Dodo Ako [T'ong], 1^st Prince Té Yü (Té Yü Ho Shê Ch'in Wang). b. 2^nd April 1614 (s/o Empress Hsiao Lieh), educ. privately. Granted the rank of To Lo Pei Lê 1627, prom. to the title of To Lo Chün Wang Yü 1636, demoted 1639, prom. to Ho Shê Ch'in Wang 1642, demoted again and restored to Ho Shê Ch'in Wang 1643, and granted the new designation of Te-yü 1645. Posthumously demoted to To Lo Chün Wang 1651 but restored 1778. Lt-Gen. Bordered White Banner Corps 1627, C-in-C (Ting-kuo Ta Jiang-chun) 1643, Assistant Regent 1647. m. a sister of Empress Hsiao Tuan Wen, and daughter of Prince Manjusri, of the Korchin Mongols. He d. from smallpox, at Peking, 29^th April 1649, having had issue, at least seven sons:
  • b) General H.H. Prince Doni [Houo], 2^nd Prince Hsin (Hsin To Lo Chün Wang). b. ca. 1630, educ. privately. Succeeded his father as 2^nd Prince Yü (Yü Ho Shê Ch'in Wang) 1649, demoted to To Lo Chün Wang and ordered to assume the new designation of Hsin 1651. General-in-chief during the Yunan campaign 1658-1659. He d. 1661, having had issue, a second son:
    • ii) H.H. Prince Oja, 3^rd Prince (To Lo Pei Lê) Hsin, educ. privately. He d. 1702, having had issue:
      • (1) Prince …, 4^th Prince Hsin.
      • (2) Prince …, 5^th Prince Hsin. He had issue:
        • (a) Prince …, 6^th Prince Hsin. He had issue, a son:
          • (i) Prince Fuchuan, 7^th Prince (To Lo Chün Wang) Yü. Restored to the rank of To Lo Chün Wang, the designation of Yü, and the privilege of perpetual inheritance 1778.
  • c) Prince (Pei Lê Fu Kuo Chün) Chani [K'o-hsi]. b. 1641. He d. October 1688.

  • e) Prince (To Lo Pei Lê) Dorbo. Adopted by his uncle, Prince Dorgon, but was prevented from succeeding to his princely house, 12^th March 1651. He had issue, a son:
    • i) Prince …, who had issue, a son:
      • (1) Prince Dejao [Te Chao]. He d. 1762, having had issue, a son:
        • (a) Prince Rusong [Ju Sung]. b. 1737. He d. 1770, having had issue, a third son:
          • (iii) H.I.H. Prince Chun-ying [Gong], 2^nd Prince (To Lo Jui Chün Wang) Jui. b. 1761 (third and eldest surviving son). Succeeded on the rehabilitation of Dorgon February 1778. He d. 1800, having had issue, four sons:
            • 1. H.I.H. Prince Baoen, 3^rd Prince (To Lo Jui Chün Wang) Jui. He d. (s.p.?) 1801.
            • 4. H.I.H. Prince Ruien [Ju-ien], 4^th Prince (To Lo Jui Chün Wang) Jui. He may have had issue, a son?:
              • a. H.I.H. Prince Renshu, Prince (To Lo Jui Chün Wang) Jui. fl. ca. 1850. He may have had issue, a son?:
                • i. Duzling. He had issue, a son:

• 1) Lady Nunje (Nunje Ko Ko) [Duchess Yung-ch'in] b. 1578 (d/o Tunggiya). m. before 1601, Hohori, 1^st Prince Yung-ch'in (b. 1561; d. 2^nd September 1624), of the Donggo clan, Lt-Gen. Red Banner Corps, Chief of the Warka Manchus, grandson of Kecebayan. She d. 1652, having had issue, five sons and one daughter.
• 2) Lady Makuta (Makuta Ko Ko). m. Legdan Khan, a descendant of Genghis Khan.
• 3) Lady Mangguji (Mangguji Ko Ko) [Princess Hada] (d/o Gundai). m. (first) 1601, Uldai, Prince of the Hada tribe. m. (second) January 1628, Sodnom Dügüreng [During], Noyan of the Monggoi Aukhan tribe of Mongols. She was k. on the orders of Emperor Tai T'sung Wen Huang Ti, 1636.
