Sampeyan Dalam ingkang Sinuhun Kanjeng Sri Sultan Amangku Buwana I Senapati ing Alaga Ngah 'Abdu'l-Rahman Saiyid ud-din Panatagama Khalifatu'llah ingkang Yumeneng Kaping [Sunan Kabanaran or Sultan Suwarji], Sultan of Yogyakarta. b. 4th August 1717, younger son of H.H. Sampeyan Dalam ingkang Sinuhun Kanjeng Susuhanan Prabhu Sri Paku Buwana II Senapati ing Alaga Ngah 'Abdu'l-Rahman Saiyid ud-din Panatagama [Sunan Ngalavijana], Susuhanan of Mataram, by his eleventh wife, Mas Ayu Tejavati. Granted the title of Pangeran Mangku Bumi, 29th November 1730. Rebelled against his brother and proclaimed as Susuhanan of Mataram, 1745. Proclaimed as Susuhanan at Yogyakarta, taking the name of Kanjeng Susuhanan Paku Buwana ing Mataram Senapati ing Alaga Nagah 'Abdu'l-Rahman Saiyid ud-din Panatagama Khalifatu'llah one day after the cession of the kingdom to the Dutch, 12th December 1749. Recognised as independant Sultan of Yogyakarta by the Dutch after the death of his father and the division of the Mataram Empire, 13th February 1755. m. (first) Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Kinchana (d. at Kraton Yogyakarta, 1777), daughter of Bandara Pangeran Arya Dipa Negara of Surakarta. m. (second) Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Kadipaten/Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Agung Tegalraya (b. at Majanjati, near Sragen; d. at Kraton Yogyakarta, 18th October 1803), Cdr. of the Pasukan Langen Kusuma 1755, daughter of Kyai Ageng Derpayuda, by his wife, a descendant of the Sultans of Bima in Sumbawa. m. (third) Bandara Radin Tilarsa. m. (fourth) Bandara Mas Ayu Sawerdi. m. (fifth) Bandara Radin Ayu Srenggaravati, daughter of Kyai Temenggong Nata Yudha, Bupati of Kedhu. m.
