Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan ‘Abdu’l Aziz ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Haji Musa al-Khalid al-Mu’azzam Shah, Sultan of Langkat, by his first wife, H.H. Tengku Alautiah binti Raja Muda Tengku Sulaiman, Tengku Mahasuri, daughter of Y.A.M. Tengku Sulaiman ibni al-Marhum Sultan Panglima Mangedar Otteman, Raja Muda and Regent of Deli, educ. privately. Appointed as Heir Apparent and invested with with the title of Raja Muda 1899. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1^st July 1927. Appointed as Heir Apparent and invested with the title of Raja Muda, February 1931. Arrested and imprisoned by the PESIDO March 1946. m. Y.M. Tengku Badr ul-Buhaya binti Tengku Ismail al-Haj [Baderul Buhaya] (d.s.p. at Tanjung Pura, 1939), daughter of Y.A.M. Tengku Daud Ismailiya al-Haj ibni al-Marhum Sultan Usman Perkasa ‘Alam Shah [Tengku Sulung Laut], Tengku Pangeran Nara Kelana, sometime Wakil of Bedagai, by his fourth wife, Encik Maimuna binti Awang ‘Abdu’l Rahman, daughter of Awang ‘Abdu’l Rahman, of Penang. Tengku Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Tuanku Al-Haji Muhammad Shah, Tengku Besar, Heir Apparent and Regent of Kualuh and Leidong, by his third wife, Y.A.M. Tengku Amir Hamzah bin Tengku Muhammad Adil, Tengku Pangeran Indraputra (b. at Tanjung Pura, 28^th February 1911; k. at Kuala Begumit, 20^th March 1946, bur. Masjid Azizi, Tanjung Pura), younger son of Y.M. Tengku Muhammad Adil Rahmad Shah bin Tengku Hamzah al-Haj, Pangeran Bendahara Paduka Raja, of Binjai, sometime Wakil Sultan of Luhak Langkat Bengkulu, by his third wife, Y.M. Tengku Mahjiwa. She d. 22^nd May 1961, having had issue, five children of whom only one daughter survived infancy – see above.
2) Y.A.M. Tengku Atfah binti al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah (d/o Tengku Raudah). m. at Istana Dar ul-Aman, Tanjung Pura, 25^th December 1943, Y.M. Tengku Ramli bin Tengku Haji Bahrum (d. 1978), son of Y.M. Tengku Haji Bahrum bin Tengku Rahmad, sometime Wakil of Bedagai. She d. 1984, having had issue, three sons and three daughters – see Indonesia (Deli).
3) Y.A.M. Tengku Kalsum binti al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah (d/o Tengku Raudah). Attended the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Queen Wilhelmina, in Amsterdam, 1938. m. Hassan Darus (d.s.p. 1990). She d.s.p. 1993.
4) Y.A.M. Tengku Latifa Khanum binti al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah [T Latifa Hanum] [Pipa]. b. at Tanjung Pura, 26^th September 1923 (d/o Tengku Raudah). Attended the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Queen Wilhelmina, in Amsterdam, 1938. m. Y.M. Tengku Tengku Razali bin Tengku Hafas [T Razally Hafas] (b. 21^st July 1924; d. at Medan, 26^th December 1998, bur. there at the Royal Cemetery, Masjid Raya Al Ma’shun Deli), fourth son of Y.M. Tengku Hafas bin Tengku Ismail al-Haj, Tengku Pangeran, sometime Wakil of Bedagai and Pangeran of Langkat Hilir, by his wife, Y.A.M. Tengku Uan Mahanun, daughter of Y.M.M. 5) Y.A.M. Tengku Bainah binti al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah (d/o Tengku Raudah). m. Sulaiman Nasution (d. 1989). She d. 1993, having had issue, one son and one daughter.
6) Y.A.M. Tengku Azerun binti al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah (d/o Tengku Raudah). m. Y.M. Tengku Y.M. Tengku Shahrul [T.Sahrul] (d. 1999). She d. 2002, having had issue, seven sons and four daughters.

[1948 - 1990] Y.A.M. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Mahmud ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Aziz, Sultan of Langkat, by his first wife, H.H. Tengku Raudah binti al-Marhum Tuanku Al-Haji Muhammad Shah, Tengku Permaisuri. Became Wakil Mahkota on the arrest of his elder brother in March 1946. Succeeded as Head of the Royal House of Langkat, on the death of his father, 23^rd April 1948. m. Y.M. Tengku Radiah binti Tengku Mansur Shah (b. at Tanjung Pasir, 10^th January 1927; d. at Medan, 4^th August 2009), educ. Kamar Sembilan Hollands Inlandshe Sch (HIS), Kualuh, eldest daughter of Y.A.M. Tengku Mansur Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Shah, Tengku Besar, sometime Regent of Kualuh, by his wife, Y.A.M. Tengku Darjat binti al-Marhum Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah, eldest daughter of H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah II ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Asahan. He d. at Medan, 14^th June 1990 (bur. Makam Pahlawan Langkat, Masjid Azizi, Tanjung Pura).

Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Mahmud ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Aziz, Sultan of Langkat, by his first wife, H.H. Tengku Raudah binti al-Marhum Tuanku Al-Haji Muhammad Shah, Tengku Permaisuri. Succeeded as Head of the Royal House of Langkat, on the death of his elder brother, 14^th June 1990. m. Y.M. Tengku Zulfa binti Tengku Harison, only daughter of Y.M. Tengku Harison, of Bedagai, Deli, by his wife, Y.A.M. Tengku Maimuna binti al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah, daughter of H.H. Tengku Kamil ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Aziz [T. Kamil Aziz], Pangeran Jaya Kusuma, Pangeran of Langkat Hilir and of Langkat Hulu (Binjai), by his wife, Y.A.M. Tengku Arfah binti al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah, daughter of H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah II ibni al-Marhum Tengku Muhammad ‘Adil, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Asahan. Recognised by the thirteen chiefs of Langkat as Sultan designate 22^ndMay 1999, but never confirmed by the government of Indonesia or formally installed. m. Y.M. Tengku Zuraida binti Tengku Amir Shah [Nde Ida] (b. posthumously, at Tanjung Balai, Asahan, 12^th August 1946), younger daughter of Y.M. Tengku Amir Shah bin Raja Salim [T Anir Syah], of Johor-Singapore, by his wife, Y.A.M. Tengku Jawahir binti al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Husain Rahmad Shah, daughter of H.H. 2001 - 2003 H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Iskandar Hilali ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah al-Haj ibnu al-Marhum Tengku Murad Aziz, Sultan of Langkat. b. at Medan, 29^th September 1952, only son of Y.A.M. Tengku Murad Aziz ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Aziz ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah, by his wife, Y.A.M. Hajjah Tengku Maheran binti al-Marhum Sultan ‘Alam Shah Otteman al-Sani Perkasa ‘Alam, eldest daughter of H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan ‘Alam Shah Otteman II al-Sani Perkasa ‘Alam ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Amal ud-din al-Sani Perkasa ‘Alam Shah, Sultan of Deli. Succeeded his first cousin as Head of the Royal House of Langkat, 2001. Selected by the thirteen hereditary chiefs and nobles of the principality as Sultan of Langkat, 29^th May 2002. Installed at Tanjung Pura, with the title of Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Iskandar Hilali ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah al-Haj, 27^th October 2002. m. Y.M. Hajjah Dr Mirla Safrina. He d. suddenly, in hospital, at Medan, 21^st May 2003 (bur. Azizi Mosque, Tanjung Pura).

2003 H.H. Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Dr Azwar ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah al-Haj ibni al-Marhum Tengku Maimun, Sultan of the State of Langkat. b. at Medan, 21^st January 1951, as Tengku Azwar Aziz, youngest son of Y.A.M. Tengku Maimun ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Aziz [T Maimoen], by his wife, Y.M. Tengku Nomel Badr ul-Buhaja binti Tengku Hafas [T Badroel Boehaja], educ. SMA Negeri 1, and the Faculty of Economics of the Univ of North Sumatra, Medan. Dir National Agency for Export Development in North Sumatra for the Indonesian Dept of Industry & Trade, Dir North Sumatra Provincial Trade & Industry Office 2006, Chair Kerapatan Adat Kesultanan Langkat (KAKL), Sec Asahan Development Authority 2009-2010, Dir of North Sumatra Provincial Research & Development Dept 2010, etc. Recognised and proclaimed as Sultan by the thirteen members of the Royal clan, principal noblemen and the territorial chiefs of Langkat, at Medan, 21^st May 2003. Installed on the same day, at the Balairung, Istana Agong Kota Ma’amun, Medan, with the title of Sri Paduka Tuanku Sultan Azwar ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah al-Haj. m. at Medan, 2^nd October 1982, Hajjah Marina Indra Utama [Ny Marina Aziz] (b. at Medan, 1^stMarch 1958). He had issue, one son and one daughter:

1) Y.T.M. Tengku Ariefanda bin Tuanku Sultan Azwar ‘Abdu’l Jalil Rahmad Shah [T Arief Aziz], Putra Mahkota, of Langkat. b. at Medan, 7^th May 1984, educ.
