Malika-i-Afaq Muqqadara Azma Mumtaz uz-Zamani Nawab Jahan Ara Begum Sahiba [Khetu Begum], daughter of Imam ud-Daula, Nawab Muhammad Imam ud-din Khan Bahadur, educ. privately. Appointed Heir Apparent with the titles of Suraiya Jah and Wali Ahad Mirza Bahadur, 15th October 1837. Succeeded 7th May 1842. Ascended the musnaid, at the Qasr us-Sultan, Farhat Bakhsh Palace, Lucknow, 17th May 1842. m. (first) before 1827, H.M. (Janab-i-Alia) Malika-i-Kishwar Bahadur, Mukhtar-i-Alia, Fakhr uz-Zamani Nawab Taj Ara Begum Sahiba (b. 1803; d. at Hotel Laffitte, Paris, 25th January 1858, bur. PŔre Lachaise Muslim Cemetery, Paris), daughter of Nawab Hisam ud-din Khan Bahadur, of Kalpi, by his wife, Nawab Vilaiti Begum Sahiba, daughter of H.H. Wazir ul-Mamalik-i-Hindustan, Yamin ud-Daula, Nizam ul-Mulk, Nawab Sa'adat 'Ali Khan Bahadur, Mubariz Jang, Nawab Wazir of Oudh. m. (second) ca. 1844, H.M. Malika-i-Ahad Taj-i-Muqadiat Nawab Faghfur Mahal Sahiba (b. 1818; d. after 26th August 1847). m. (third) at Lucknow, 16th August 1846, Nawab Imtiaz un-nisa Begum Sultan Mahal Sahiba (b. 1830; d. 29th August 1847), alias Husaini Khanum, daughter of Husain 'Ali, a green grocer. m. (fourth) H.M.
