• 1) Srimathi Mahaprabha Amma [Chathayam Nal] Tampuratti, of Mavelikara. Ancestress of the Houses of Mavelikara, Prayikara and Ennakad. She had issue, five daughters:
• a) Princess Pooyam Tirunal. Adopted into the Royal House of Travancore in 1747. She d.s.p.
• b) Rani Uthradam Tirunal, Senior Rani of Attingal. Adopted into the Royal House of Travancore in 1747. m. at Attingal, 1748, a Kochi Koil Tampuran of Tattara Kovil. She had issue, two sons:
  • i) Prince Rama Varma [Aswathi Tirunal], Elaya Raja of Travancore. b. at the Sri Padam Palace, Trivandrum Fort, ca. 1756, educ. privately. Invested as Heir Apparent with the title of Eliya Raja, 1786. He d. at Trivandrum, 1788.
  • ii) Prince Bala Rama Varma [Amizham Tirunal]. b. at the Sri Padam Palace, Trivandrum Fort, ca. 1757.
• c) The Junior Rani of Attingal (name unknown). Adopted into the Royal House of Travancore in 1747. m. a Kochi Koil Tampuran of Edathara Matam. She had issue, one son and two daughters:
  • i) Prince Bala Rama Varma [Magam Tirunal]. b. at the Sri Padam Palace, Trivandrum Fort, ca. 1757. He d. young.
  • ii) Rani Bharani Tirunal. b. at the Sri Padam Palace, Trivandrum Fort, ca. 1758.
  • iii) Rani Attham Bayi [Chadayam Tirunal]. b. at the Sri Padam Palace, Trivandrum Fort, ca. 1759. She had issue, one son:
    • (1) H.H. Maharaj Raja Ramaraja Sri Padmanabha Dasa Vanchipala Bala Rama Varma II [Avitam Tirunal], Raja of Travancore - see below.
• d) Princess Ashavathi Tirunal. Adopted into the Royal House of Travancore in 1747. She d.s.p.
• e) Srimathi Achamma [Revati Nal] Tampuratti. Adopted into the Kayyalkettil family. She had issue, five daughters:
  • i) Srimathi … Nal Tampuratti.
  • ii) Srimathi Bharani Nal Tampuratti, of Vattaparambu. She fled from Chirakkal with her five children when Tipu Sultan invaded the Malabar Coast in 1773. They received sanctuary from Raja Rama Varma II [Kartika Tirunal] Dharmaraja, who let them settle at Mavelikara. She had issue, two sons and three daughters:

Sri Kerala Varma Avargal, Valia Koil Tampuran of Changanasseri, CSI (25.5.1895) (b. at Lakshmipuram Palace, Changanasseri, 19^th February 1845; d. at Mavelikara, from wounds received when his in a car crash, 22^nd September 1914), incarceraed at Alleppy and later at Haripad 1872-1879, a renowned writer and poet known as Kerala Kalidas, author of "Akbar" (1894) and several poetical works including "Manipravalasakunthalam" (1882), "Mayura Sandesham" (1894), "Deivayogam" (1909), Presdt Bhasha Poshini Sabha, Chair Travancore Text Book Cttee 1869-1872 (Mbr 1867-1869), etc, grand-nephew of M.R.Ry. Sri Raja Raja Varma Avargal, Koil Tampuran of Changanasseri, and son of Srimathi Deviamba Tampuratti [Pooram Nal], of the Lakshmipuram House of Changanasseri, from the Parappanad Royal House, by her husband, Mullapally Narayanan Namboothiri. She d. at the Sarasvathi Vilasom Palace, Trivandrum, 14^th June 1901, having adopted her two nieces on 31^st August 1900, having had issue, an only daughter:

Maharani Parvati Bayi [Bharani Tirunal], Junior Maharani of Travancore. b. at Utsavamadom Palace, Mavelikara, 24^th September 1850, educ. privately by the Church of England Zenana Missionary Soc. Adopted into the Royal House of Travancore, 27^th December 1857. m. (first) M.R.Ry. Sri Kerala Varma Avargal, Kochu Koil Tampuran (d. aged twenty four years), elder son of Srimathi Kavamma, of Kilimanur m. (second) 7^th February 1862, M.R.Ry. Sri Raja Raja Varma [Kunjunnu], Kochu Koil Tampuran (b. 1843; d. at Kilimanur, 25^th March 1903), younger brother of her late husband and son of Srimathi Kavamma, of Kilimanur. She d. at Trivandrum Fort, 15^th October 1893, having had issue, four sons and one daughter:

  • (c) Srimathi Bhagirathi Bayi Kockupangi Amma Tampuratti [Pooruruttati Nal]. m. 1866, M.R.Ry. Sri Raja Ravi Varma Avargal, KIH Gold Medal (1.1.1904) (b. at Kilimanur, 29^th April 1848; d. at Attingal, 2^nd October 1906), the famed Indian painter and portraitist, succeeded on the death of his maternal first cousin as Kochu Koil Tampuran of Kilimanur 25^th March 1903, eldest son of Srimathi Uma Ambabai Tampuratti, a poet and Ayurvedic physician, by her husband, Ezhumavil Neelakantan Bhattatiripad, a Namboothiri Brahmin of Kandamer Desom, in Kunnathunadu. She d. at Utsavamadom Palace, Mavelikara, November 1891, having had issue, two sons and three daughters:
  • (i) M.R.Ry. Sri Kerala Varma [Poorooruttathi Nal] Tampuran. b. at Utsavamadom Palace, Mavelikara, 1875. He went missing in 1912, and was never heard from again.
  • (ii) M.R.Ry. Sri Rama Varma Raja Tampuran [Revati Nal]. b. at Utsavamadom Palace, Mavelikara, September 1880, educ. Sir J.J. School of Arts, Bombay, and the Madras Sch. of Arts. Famed artist and portrait painter. Presdt Mavelikara Municipality 1928, MLC Travancore 1928. m. Srimathi Gowri Kunjamma, from the Edassery Pattaveetil family of Mavelikara, youngest sister of Rajyasevapravina P.G. Narayan Unnithan, the last Dewan of Travancore, and daughter of the Ittamar Koil Thampuran of Haripad, a nephew of M.R.Ry. Sri Kerala Varma Avargal, Valia Koil Tampuran of Changanasseri, CSI, both from the Parappanad Royal House. He d. 1967, having had issue, ten children including three sons and four daughters:
