GENEALOGY
1850 - 1895 H.H. Raja Shreeman Dule Singhji Bahadur, Raja of Sailana. b. at Sailana, 1840, only son of H.H. Raja Shreeman Takht Singhji Bahadur, Raja of Sailana, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, ca. 17th September 1850. Reigned under a British appointed Administrator until 1857, when the principal widow of his father assumed the regency and ruled on his behalf until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, 1859. The state remained loyal to the British during the Indian Mutiny, during which the Raja and the members of the council performed several useful services, for which they were each rewarded with khilats 1860. Received a sanad of adoption, 11th March 1862. Granted a permanent salute of 11-guns, 26th June 1867. Appointed his adopted son as administrator and retired from the active government of the state, 1893. Rcvd: Prince of Wales’s (1875) and KIH (1877) gold medals. m. 1856, H.H. Shrimati Rani Bagheliji Sahiba. He d.s.p.m. at the Raj Mahal, Sailana, 11th October 1895 (succ. by his adopted son), having had issue, two daughters:

1919 - 1961 H.H. Bharat Dharma Nidhi Raja Shreeman Sir Dilip Singhji Bahadur, Raja of Sailana, KCIE (1.1.1936). b. at Jaswant Vilas Palace, Sailana, 18th March 1891, eldest son of H.H. Raja Shreeman Sir Jaswant Singhji II Bahadur, Raja of Sailana, KCIE, KIH, educ. Mayo Coll, Ajmer. Succeeded on the death of his father, 13th July 1919. Ascended the gadi at the Jaswant Vilas Palace, Sailana, 14th July 1919. Invested with full ruling powers, 24th July 1919. Signed the instrument of accession to the Dominion of India, 15th August 1947. He entered into a covenant with his fellow rulers by which he merged his state into the Madhya Bharat Union 15th May 1948. Presdt Shree Bharat Dharma Mahamandal Council (Benares), Kurukshetra Restoration Soc, and All-India Religious Organisation. Gen-Sec & Vice-Presdt All-India Kshatriya Mahasabha (Presdt 1920-1930). Mbr General Council of Daly Coll (Indore), and Mayo Coll (Ajmer), etc. Rcvd: Delhi Durbar (1911), Silver Jubilee (1935), Coron (1937), and Indian Independence (1948) medals. m. (first) at Partabgarh, November 1909, H.H. Shrimati Rani Sailana Wali Maji Sahib Shri Nani Bai Sahiba (d. at Sailana, January 1911), née Maharajkumari Shri Raj Kunwarji Sahiba, second daughter of H.H. Maharawat Shri Raghunath Singhji Bahadur, Maharawat of Partabgarh. m. (second) at Meja, Merwar 1915, H.H. Shrimati Sisodiniji Rani Preetam Kanwar Sahiba, daughter of Rawat Raj Singhji Sahib, Rao of Meja, under Udaipur Mewar, by his wife, Rani Devsharan Kanwar Sahiba, second daughter of The Hon Raja Shri Udai Partab Singh Ju Deo Varma Somayaji, Raja of Bhinga, CSI, in the Bahraich district of UP. He d. at the Jaswant Vilas Palace, Sailana, 8th February 1961, having had issue, two sons and three daughters:
1961 - [1990] H.H. Raja Shreeman Digvijaya Singhji Bahadur, Raja of Sailana. b. at Meja, Udaipur Marwar, 15th October 1918, elder son of H.H. Bharat Dharma Nidhi Raja Shreeman Sir Dilip Singhji Bahadur, Raja of Sailana, KCIE, by his second wife, H.H. Shrimati Sisodiniji Rani Sahiba,, educ Mayo Coll, Ajmer, Rajasthan, Agra Univ (BA), Agra, and Benares Hindu Univ (MA), Benares, UP. Presdt Sailana State Council 1946-1948. Succeeded on the death of his father, 8th February 1961. Ascended the gadi at the Jaswant Vilas Palace, Sailana, 9th February 1961. The GOI amended the Indian Constitution to remove his guaranteed position as a "ruler" and his right to receive privy-purse payments, 28th December 1971. A celebrated plant collector and expert on roses, cacti and succulents, painter and illustrator, gourmet and gastronome, and author of ""Cooking Delights of the Maharajas" (1982) now in its thirteenth edition. Raja Rawat Shri Sir Birendra Singh, Raja of Rajgarh, KCIE. m. (second) H.H. Shrimati Rani Mohini Kumari Sahiba (b. 1928), daughter of Major Maharaj Shri Naharsinhji Fatehsinhji, of Chhota Udepur, by his first wife, Rani Shri Pushpa Kunverba Sahiba, second daughter of Kumar Shri Parakramsinhji Gambhirsinhji Sahib, of Rajpipla. He d. at the Jaswant Vilas Palace, Sailana, 1990, having had issue, two sons and five daughters:
