Lieutenant-Colonel H.H. Maharana Shri Sir Vijaysinhji
Chhatrasinhji Sahib, Maharaja of Rajpipla, GBE, KCSI, by
his first wife, H.H. Maharani Shri Udaya Kunverba Sahiba,
educ. Mayo Coll., Ajmer, and RMA, Woolwich. Cmsnd.
as temp Hon. 2nd Lieut. 1/6/1936, attached
Royal Deccan Horse, served in WW2 1939-1943, Army
Minister 1943-1948, Presdt. Rajpipla Interim Executive
Cncl. 1946-1948. Succeeded on the death of his father, 29th
April 1951. Installed on the gadi at the Fort,
Rajpipla. Rcvd: Silver Jubilee (1935), Coron.
(1937), 1939/45 star, British War and India Service
medals (1945). m. at Chote Udepur, 5th
March 1934, H.H. Maharani Shri Rasik Kunverba Sahiba (b.
at Chote Udepur, 17th August 1915), second
daughter of H.H. Maharaol Shri Fatehsinhji Motisinhji
Sahib, Raja of Chote Udepur, by his first wife, H.H. Rani
Shri Gulab Kunverba Sahiba, sister of Kumar Shri
Ranjitsingh Narendrasingh Mahida, of Mandwa, in Surat. He
d. at Bombay, 2nd February 1963, having
had issue, one son and two daughters:

Maharaja of Rajpipla. b. at Nandod, 29th
May 1942, only son of H.H. Maharana Shri Rajendrasinghji
Vijaysinghji Sahib, Maharaja of Rajpipla, by his wife,
H.H. Maharani Shri Rasik Kunverba Sahib, educ.
Mayo Coll., Ajmer, N.Wadia Coll., Poona Univ. (BA 1963),
ICS, and Geneva Theological Coll., London (Dip. in Law).
Succeeded in the death of his father, 2nd
February 1963. Ascended the gadi at Rajpipla, 3rd
February 1963. The GOI amended the Indian Constitution to
remove his position as a "ruler" and his right
to receive privy-purse payments, 28th December
1971. Hon. Consul for Barbados at Bombay since 1982. Hon.
Colonel Kentuky State National Guard 1981. m. at
Jaisalmer, 5th March 1964, H.H. Maharani Rukmani Devi
Sahiba, educ. Rajasthan Univ. (MA), and Inst. of
Catering, Bombay (Dip.), Convenor INTACH (Rajpipla), Dir.
