Farzand-i-Khas-i-Daulat-i-Inglishia, Mansur-i-Zaman, Amir ul-Umara, Maharajadhiraja Raj Rajeshwar, Sri Maharaja-i-Rajgan, Maharaja Sir Rajinder Singh, Mahendra Bahadur, Yadu Vansha Vatans Bhatti Kul Bushan, Maharaja of Patiala, GCSI, by his first wife, H.H. Maharani Sri Jasmer Kaur Sahiba, educ. Aitchison Coll., Lahore. Succeeded on the death of his father, 9th November 1900. Reigned under a Council of Regency, until he came of age and was invested with partial ruling powers, 1st October 1909. Invested with full ruling powers by the Viceroy, the Earl of Minto, in person, 3rd November 1910. Maharani Sri Bakhtawar Kaur Sahiba [Rajomajrewale Sri Maharani Sahib-ji] (class A) (b. at Sangrur, 1892; d. at Patiala, 1960), née Basant Kaur, eldest daughter of Sardar Gurnam Singh, Sardar Bahadur, OBI, of Sangrur, sometime C-in-C Jind State Forces, she had issue seven children of whom only one son and one daughter survived. m. (second) H.H. Maharani Sri …Kaur Sahiba [Ranewale Sri Maharani Sahib-ji]* (class A) (b. 1894; d. at Dehra Dun, 1980), daughter of General Sardar Gurnam Singh, Sardar Bahadur, CIE, OBI, sometime Chief Minister of Patiala. m. (third) before 14th February 1910, H.H. Maharani Sri Dilip Kaur Sahiba [Ubhawalwale Bare Sri Maharani Sahib-ji] (b. 1894; d. at Patiala, 1992), former second wife of Sardar Lal Singh, and daughter of Sardar Jagat Singh Ubowal, by whom he had three daughters. m. (fourth) at Bahadurgarh, Patiala Fort, before 14th February 1910, H.H. Maharani Sri Vimalavati Kaur Sahiba [Ubhawalwale Chhote Sri Maharani Sahib-ji] (b. 1906; d. at Dehra Dun, 1992) (class A), youner daughter of Sardar Jagat Singh Ubowal. m. (fifth) at Bahadurgarh, Patiala Fort, 28th October 1912, H.H. Maharani Sri …Kaur Sahiba [Kaulgarhiwale Sri Maharani Sahib-ji] (d. from tuberculosis, at the Baradari Palace, Patiala, 1915), daughter of Sardar …Singh, of  Kaulgarh. m. (sixth) at Mahendra Palace, Patiala, 18th January 1932, H.H. Maharani Sri …Kaur Sahiba [Gulerwale Sri Maharani Sahib-ji] (b. 1910), daughter of Sardar Inder Singh? m. (seventh) H.H. Maharani Sri …Kaur Sahiba [Darkhotiwale Bare Sri Maharani Sahib-ji] (b. 1913; d. at New Delhi Hospital, Locemia, 30th October 1970, crem. at Dehra Dun, UP). m. (eighth) H.H. Maharani Sri …Kaur Sahiba [Darkhotiwale Duje Sri Maharani Sahib-ji] (b. 1918; k. at her home in Dehra Dun, UP, 197x). m. (ninth) H.H. Maharani Sri …Kaur Sahiba [Darkhotiwale Tije Sri Maharani Sahib-ji (b. 1919), daughter of Rana Raghunath Singh, of Darkoti. m. (tenth) H.H. Maharani Sri …Kaur Sahiba [Darkhotiwale Chauthe Sri Maharani Sahib-ji (b. 1922), daughter of Rana Raghunath Singh, of Darkoti, by his second wife. The names of three of these ladies were (i) H.H. Maharani Sri Jashodha Devi Sahib, (ii) H.H. Maharani Sri Rewati Devi Sahib, and (iii) H.H. Maharani Sri Rupwant Devi Sahib. The third and fourth maharanis were married before 14th February 1910, another wife on 28th October 1912. m. (a) the wife of Sardar Sunder Singh of Badshahpur, and daughter of Sardar Jwala Singh, of Narru, in Patiala. m. (b) a lady from Sirmur. m. (c) a Belgian lady. m. (c) Darshan Kaur. He d. from heart failure, at the Moti Bagh Palace, Patiala, 23rd March 1938 (cremated there at Shahi Samadhan), having fathered eighty eight children (the Bhupendri Brar Sidhu), by various wives and concubines, of whom fifty-three survived:
