The Sultan's Distinguished Service Medal (Midal Khidmat al-Mumtaza us-Sultaniya): instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1967. Awarded for distingusihed service or devotion to duty over a long period, and for conspicuous acts of gallantry at risk of life, but not in the face of the enemy. WKhM
The Commendation Medal (Midal ut-Tawsit): instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1960. Originally awarded for acts of brave conduct of a standard lower than that for the Gallantry Medal, but later converted into an award for distinguished service and leadership.

The Sultan's Distinguished Service Medal (L) and Sultan Qaboos Police Medal (R).

The Sultan Qaboos Police Medal (Midal al-Sharatat al-Sultan Qaboos): instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1975 as the Oman Police Distinguished Service Medal and altered to the current decoration by him in 1980.
The Medal for Courage: instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1975 as a reward for gallant and distinguished service by members of the Royal Oman Police, Fire and Prison services.
The Special Service Medal of the Royal Omani Guards (Midal al-Khidmat al-Khasat al-Haras al-Sultani al-Omani): instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1985. Originally awarded to commemorate the fifteenth annivesary of independence, later converted into a permanent award for five years of distinguished service by members of the Royal Guards.

The Special Service Medal of the Sultan's Special Forces (L) and the Royal Omani Guards (C), and the Campaign Medal (R).

The Special Service Medal of the Sultan's Special Forces (Midal al-Khidmat al-Khasat Qawat al-Sultaniya al-Khasat): instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1985. Awarded for five years of distinguished service by members of the Special Forces.
Campaign Medal (Midal al-Hamalat): instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1959 for those officers and men who participated in the Jebel Akhdar campaign between 1st November 1958 and 1st February 1959.
General Service Medal (Midal al-Khidmat al-Alamat): instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1959, as a reward for general military service.

As-Samood Medal (Midal al-Samood): instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1976, to recognise services during the long campaign in Dhofar between 23rd May 1965 and 2nd December 1975.
The Omani Peace Medal (Midal al-Salam al-Omani): instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1976.

The Oman Peace Medal.

The Sultan's Meritorious Service Medal (Midal al-Kafa'at al-Sultani): instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1975 as a reward for meritorious service by members of the Royal Oman Police, Fire and Prison services.
Accession Medal (Midalat al-'Atala'at al-'Arash): instituted by Sultan Qaboos to commemorate his accession to the throne of Oman on 23rd July 1970. Awarded to those involved in the Sultan's coming to power, including members of the armed forces, intelligence services, police, air service, civil servants and Royal household.

Tenth Anniversary Medal (Midal al-'Aid al-Watani al-'A'ashir al-Majid): instituted by Sultan Qaboos on 27th July 1980 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his accession to the throne of Oman in 1970.
Fifteenth Anniversary Medal (Midal al-'Aid al-Watani al-Khamas wa A'ashir al-Majid): instituted by Sultan Qaboos on 18th November 1985 to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of his accession to the throne of Oman in 1970.
Twentieth Anniversary Medal (Midal al-'Aid al-Watani al-'Ishirin al-Majid): instituted by Sultan Qaboos on 18th November 1990 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of his accession to the throne of Oman in 1970.

Twenty-fifth Anniversary Medal (Midal al-'Aid al-Watani al-Khamas wa 'Ishirin al-Majid): instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1995 to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of his accession to the throne of Oman in 1970.
Thirteith Anniversary Medal: instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 2000 to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of his accession to the throne of Oman in 1970.
The Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Midal al-Khidmat al-Saluk al-Tawilat wa Hasan): instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1960 as a reward for a minimum of twelve years of long service and good conduct within the Omani armed forces.
