1830 - 1831 H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan ‘Abdu’l-Rahman ibni al-Marhum Sultan Zainal-Abidin Shah [al-Marhum Surau], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Trengganu, second son of H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Zainal-Abidin Shah II ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Trengganu, by his first wife, Che’ Wan Zainab, Che’ Puan Besar, educ. privately. Appointed as Deputy ruler with the title of Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Muda, before 16th February 1809. Regent for his incapacitated brother from 1826. Succeeded on his death, as Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar, 4th July 1830. m. at Bukit Keledang, Kuala Trengganu, 17th November 1802, H.H. Tengku Sulong binti Tengku Muhammad, Tengku Ampuan Besar (b. 1787; m. second, 1831, H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Mansur Shah II ibni al-Marhum Sultan Zainal-Abidin, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Trengganu, and d. 17th August 1864) - see below), daughter of H.H. Tengku Muhammad ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mansur, Yang di-Pertuan Muda of Kelantan, by his wife, Cik Ku Wan Teh, Che Puan Kelantan, daughter of H.H. 1831 H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Daud ibni al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad Shah [al-Marhum Mangkat Kampung Daik], Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Trengganu, eldest son of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Ahmad Shah I ibni al-Marhum Sultan Zainal-Abidin, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Trengganu, by his first wife, Perempuan Cina. Succeeded on the death of his uncle, 30th January 1831. He d. at Kampung Daik, Lingga, 8th June 1835 (bur. Shaikh Ibrahim Cemetery, Kuala Trengganu), having had issue, four sons:

    • a) H.H. Tengku Prabhu binti Tengu Mahmud [Tengku Perbu]. m. at Pahang, 1812, as his fourth wife, H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Husain Mu’azzam Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Shah Alam, Sultan of Johor, Pahang and all its dependencies (b. 1776; d. at Tranquerah, Malacca, 2nd September 1835, bur. Masjid Besar Tengkera, Malacca), eldest son of H.H. Paduka Sri al-Wakil al-Imam Sultan Mahmud Ri’ayat Shah Zilu’llah fil’Alam Khalifat ul-Muminin ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Jalil Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Johor and Pahang, by his second wife, Encik Makoh binti Daing Maturang, daughter of Encik Ja’afar Daing Maturang, of Wajo. She d. at Singapore, after 1842 (bur. Masjid Besar Tengkera, Malacca), having had issue, two sons and two daughters – see Malaysia (Johor).
    • b) Y.M. Tengku Puteh binti Tengku Mahmud. m. and had issue, one son:
      • i) Puteh Tengku Yusuf.
  • 2) Y.A.M. Tengku Ngah ibni al-Marhum Sultan Daud.
  • 3) H.H. Tengku ‘Abdu’l Rahman ibni al-Marhum Sultan Daud, Yang di-Pertuan Muda, educ. privately. Installed as deputy ruler with the title of Yang di-Pertuan Muda, 31st January 1831. He d. before 15th January 1877, having had issue, two sons and four daughters:
    • a) Y.M. Tengku Muda bin Tengku ‘Abdu’l Rahman. He d.s.p.
    • b) Y.M. Tengku Hitam bin Tengku ‘Abdu’l Rahman. m. Cik Puan Halima binti ‘Abdu’llah (m. second, Encik Yusuf [Jusoh]. m. third, Encik Ismail, and d. 1952, leaving one son by her second and two sons by her third husbands). He had issue, two daughters:
      • i) Y.M. Tengku Kalsum binti Tengku Hitam. She d. 1972.
      • ii) Y.M. Tengku Wok binti Tengku Hitam. m. Y.M. Tengku Ibrahim bin Tengku ‘Ali, son of Y.B.M. Tengku ‘Ali bin Tengku Mustafa, Tengku Sri Nara Wangsa di-Raja, sometime State Treasurer, and MSC, by his second wife Y.M. Tengku Puteh binti Tengku Haji Awang, daughter of Y.M. Tengku Haji Awang bin Tengku Mahmud. She d. 1945, having had issue, four sons and two daughters – see above.

Tengku Long ‘Abdu’l Rahman bin Tengku Embong Mustafa. m. (second) Y.M. Tengku Ngah. She had issue, three daughters by her first husband - see above.
    • b) Y.M. Tengku Wuk binti Tengku ‘Abdu’l Rahman.
    • c) Y.M. Tengku Ngah Amina binti Tengku ‘Abdu’l Rahman. m. Y.M. Tengku Ngah Sulaiman bin Tengku Haji ‘Abdu’l Kadir Jamal ud-din, Tengku Dawud, son of her paternal uncle, Y.A.M. Tengku Haji ‘Abdu’l Kadir Jamal ud-din ibni al-Marhum Sultan Daud [Jambarin]. She had issue, a daughter - see below.
    • d) Y.M. Tengku Bongsu binti Tengku ‘Abdu’l Rahman [Su]. She d.s.p.
  • 4) Y.A.M. Tengku Haji ‘Abdu’l Kadir Jamal ud-din ibni al-Marhum Sultan Daud [Jambarin]. m. (first) Y.A.M. Tengku Sharifa binti al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Mu’azzam Shah, third daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Muhammad II Mu’azzam Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l-Rahman Mu’azzam Shah, Sultan of Lingga, Riau and dependencies, by his wife, Encik Halima binti ‘Abdu’llah, a Chinese convert to Islam. m. (second) Y.A.M. Tengku Hamida binti al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Muazzam Shah, former wife of Y.M. Encik Engku ‘Abdu’l Rahman bin Dato’ Bendahara Sri Maharaja Tun Muhammad Tahir, sometime Dato’ Sri Bendahara Muda and Regent of Pahang, and third daughter of H.H. Sultan Muhammad II Muazzam Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l Rahman Muazzam Shah, Sultan of Riau, Lingga and dependencies. He had issue, two sons and one daughter:
    • a) Y.M. Tengku Long Ismail bin Tengku Haji ‘Abdu’l Kadir Jamal ud-din [Ku Ling Ku Din] [Marhum Din Comel], Engku Long Molek, of Merchang (s/o Hamida). m. after 1868, Y.A.M. Tengku Sapiah binti al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Mu’azzam Shah [Chao Chom Supiya] (d. 16th January 1895), widow of H.M. Phra Bat Somdetch Phra Paramindra Maha Mongkut Sudhasamuti Dhipaya Bhungsavangsadita Varakrasatriya Varakhatiya Rakshana Karudhama Chaturanta Parama Maha Chakrapati Raja Sangkat Parama Dharmika Maha Rajadhiraja Paramanuradha Bupati Phra Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua [Rama IV], King of Siam, and seventh daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Muhammad II Mu’azzam Shah ibni al-Marhum Sultan ‘Abdu’l-Rahman Mu’azzam Shah, of Lingga, Riau and dependencies, by his sixth wife, Encik Halima binti ‘Abdu’llah, a Chinese convert to Islam. He was k. (executed) for adultery, by the Datuk Sri Lela di-Raja, 1885, having had issue:
      • i) Y.M. Tengku Ngah bin Tengku Long Ismail. He had issue, two sons:
        • (1) Y.M. Tengku Muhammad bin Tengku Ngah [Engku Mat]. Penghulu of Kerteh (DH of Kretai). He had issue, three sons and one daughter:
          • (a) Y.M. Engku Omar bin Engku Mat.
          • (b) Y.M. Engku Chik bin Engku Mat.
          • (c) Y.M. Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz bin Engku Mat. m. Y.M. Engku Hayat binti Tengku Wook ‘Abdu’l Jalil, daughter of his cousin, Y.M. Tengku Wook ‘Abdu’l Jalil bin Tengku Teh. He had issue, three sons and four daughters:
            • (i) Y.M. Engku Dzi ‘Abdu’l Ghafar bin Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz. He had issue, one son:
              • 1. Y.M. Engku Halim bin Engku Dzi ‘Abdu’l Ghafar.
            • (ii) Y.M. Engku Zainal Abidin bin Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz. He had issue, one son.
            • (iii) Y.M. Engku Shahab udd-in bin Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz. m. Cik Puan Nor Lizawaty binti Ismail,one son and one daughter:
              • 1. Y.M. Engku Ameer Faisal Shah bin Engku Shahab ud-din.
              • 1. Y.M. Engku Sarah Shahirah Batrisyia binti Engku Shahab ud-din.
            • (i) Y.M. Engku Rokiah binti Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz. m. Tuan Haji Muhammad bin Othman. She had issue, five sons and two daughters.
            • (ii) Y.M. Engku Asmah binti Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz. m. Tuan Haji Zulkufly bin Muhaammad Isa. She had issue, two sons and three daughters.
            • (iii) Y.M. Engku Nor Aini binti Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz. m. Y.M. Raja Azlan bin Raja Salleh. She had issue, three sons and one daughter.
            • (iv) Y.M. Engku Nor Azura binti Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz. m. Encik Nasar ud-din.
          • (d) Y.M. Engku Nong binti Engku Mat.
        • (2) Y.M. Tengku Teh bin Tengku Ngah. He had issue:
          • (a) Y.M. Tengku Wook ‘Abdu’l Jalil bin Tengku Teh. He had issue:
            • (i) Y.M. Engku Hayat binti Tengku Wook ‘Abdu’l Jalil. m. Y.M. Engku ‘Abdu’l Aziz bin Engku Mat, son of Y.M. Tengku Muhammad bin Tengku Ngah [Engku Mat], Penghulu of Kerteh (DH of Kretai). She had issue, three sons and four daughters see above.
      • i) Y.M. Tengku ... binti Tengku Long Ismail. m. as his first wife, before 1882, Y.M. Tengku Petra Mahmud bin Tengku Haji Muhammad Said (d. at Kampong Glam, Singapore, before 27th August 1912), sometime DH of Merchang, son of her maternal uncle, Y.A.M. Tengku Haji Muhammad Said ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Mu’azzam Shah [Tengku Saiyid], of Lingga, by his wife, Y.M. Tengku Dalam binti Tengku Ja’afar, daughter of Y.A.M. Tengku Ja’afar ibni al-Marhum Sultan Husain Mu’azzam Shah, of Johor-Singapore - see Indonesia (Lingga).
    • b) Y.M. Tengku Ngah Sulaiman bin Tengku Haji ‘Abdu’l Kadir Jamal ud-din, Tengku Dawud. Granted the title of Tengku Dawud in honour of his grandfather. m. (first) Y.M. Tengku Ngah Amina binti Tengku ‘Abdu’l Rahman, daughter of his paternal uncle, H.H. Tengku ‘Abdu’l Rahman ibni al-Marhum Sultan Daud, Yang di-Pertuan Muda. m. (second) Y.A.M. Tengku Maimuna binti al-Marhum Sultan Ahmad (m. second, 1898, Y.M. Tengku Hitam bin Tengku ‘Abdu’l-Rahim, and d. 28th November 1946), second daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Tuanku Sultan Ahmad II Mu’azzam Shah ibni al-Marhum Yang di-Pertuan Muda Tuanku Mahmud, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Trengganu, by his first wife, H.H. Tengku Kulsum binti al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Mu’azzam Shah, Tengku Ampuan Besar, second daughter of H.H.         • (1) Y.M. Tengku Putri binti Tengku Omar. m. Engku Sayyid Ngah Muhammad bin Tuan Embong Sayyid Abu Bakar al-Idrus, Tuk Ku Tuan Kechik, sometime MSC and an ulama, son of Tuan Embong Sayyid Abu Bakar bin Sayyid Muhammad al-Idrus, sometime Shaikh ul-Islam. She had issue, one son.

          • (a) Y.M. Tengku Dayang binti Tengku Omar (d/o Long). m. Y.B.M. Tengku Hitam bin Tengku Muhammad ‘Ali, Tengku Beja Wangsa, sometime State Treasurer, son of Y.M. Tengku Muhammad ‘Ali bin Tengku Andak. She d. 1950, having had issue, two sons and three daughters - see below.
          • (b) Y.M. Tengku Lijah binti Tengku Omar (d/o Fatima). m. Y.M. Tengku Hitam bin Tengku Ismail (m. second, Che’ Ku Zain un-nisa binti Che’ Engku Chik [Zainin], andd. 1997), of the Mansor Press. She d. 22nd April 1988, having had issue, several children.
          • (c) Y.M. Tengku Wuk binti Tengku Omar (d/o Fatima). m. Y.M. Tengku Ngah Omar. She d. 1944, having had issue, one son.
          • (d) Y.M. Tengku Kalsum binti Tengku Omar (d/o Fatima). m. Y.M. Tengku Chik. She d. 1949, having adopted a son.

      • ii) Y.M. Tengku Nik Putri binti Tengku Ngah Sulaiman (d/o Maimuna). m. (first) Y.M. Tuan Long bin Engku Sayyid Mustafa al-Idrus, son of Y.M. Engku Sayyid Mustafa bin Sayyid Muhammad Al-’Idrus, Tuk Ku Tuan Dalam, sometime MSC. m. (second) before 28th August 1889, Y.M. Tengku Muhammad Petra bin Tengku Haji Muhammad Said (d. before 27th August 1912), sometime DH of Merchang in Trengganu, son of Y.A.M. Tengku Haji Muhammad Said ibni al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Mu’azzam Shah, of Lingga. She d. 1934, having had issue, two daughters by her first husband.
