Jammu, 23rd September 1895, only son of
General Raja Sir Amar Singh, KCSI, by his first wife, educ.
Mayo Coll., Ajmer and with ICC, Dehra Dun. Page-of-Honour
to the Viceroy at the Delhi Durbar 1903, C-in-C Kashmir
State Forces 1915-1925, Senior and Foreign MSC 1922-1925.
Granted the personal title of Raja 20th
January 1916. Succeeded on the death of his paternal
uncle, 7th September 1925. Ascended the gadi
at Srinagar, 14th October 1925. Formally
installed at Jammu, 24th February 1926. Hon

wife H.H. Rani Shri Mankar Kunverba Sahiba, daughter of

CI (13.6.1946) (b. 1910; d. at Amar Mahal,
Jammu, 1967), rcvd: Silver Jubilee (1935) and
Coron (1937) medals, daughter of Thakur Shri Nachint
Chand, of Bijaipur, in the Kangra district, Punjab. He d.
at Bombay, 26th April 1961, having had issue,
an only son.

Appointed as Heir Apparent with the title of Yuvaraj
Shri Karan Singhji Bahadur, 11th May 1931.
