Y.M. Sri Paduka Tun 'Abdu'l Majid bin Dato' Temenggong Sri Maharaja Tun Mutahir, Dato' Bendahara Paduka Raja. b. 1718, eldest son of Y.M. Sri Paduka Tun Muhammad Tahir ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l Jalil Ri'ayat Shah, Dato' Temenggong Sri Maharaja of Johor, educ. privately. Styled Sri Paduka Dato' Temenggong Sri Maharaja in 1747-1757, and Sri Paduka Dato' Bendahara Paduka Raja ca. 1770. Signatory to the treaty which surrendered Rembau and Linggi to the Dutch, 12th December 1757. m. (first) at Kuala Trengganu, after 10th August 1735, Y.M. Tun Inah, Encik Puan Bendahara, daughter of Y.M. Tun Husain ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l Jalil Ri'ayat Shah, Dato' Bendahara Paduka Raja, of Trengganu, by his Royal wife. m. (second) Y.M. Tun Engku Besar, a Bugis princess from Endau. m. (third) 21st January 1747, Y.A.M. Tengku Raja Sunah [Sunit] binti al-Marhum Sultan Sulaiman Badr ul-'Alam Shah, daughter of his paternal uncle, H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Sulaiman Badr ul-'Alam Shah Khalifat ul-Muminim ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l Jalil Ri'ayat Shah, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Johor and Pahang. He d. at Pekan Lama, Pahang, 1802 (bur. at the Royal Cemetery, Kuala Pahang), having had issue, four sons and two daughters:
