  • 1545 - 1566 Khan Muhammad Ishaq Khan [Khwaja Maudad], Rais of Maler. b. at Maler, 1518, eldest son of Khan Muhammad Shah, Rais of Maler, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1545. m. a lady from a Rajput family from Bazidpur. He d. at Maler, 1566, having had issue, three sons:
    • 1) Khan Fath Muhammad Khan, Rais of Maler - see below.

  • 1566 - 1600 Khan Sahib Fath Muhammad Khan, Rais of Maler. b. at Maler, 1543, eldest son of Khan Muhammad Ishaq Khan [Khwaja Maudad], Rais of Maler, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1566. m. (first) a Rajput lady from Jhal (d.s.p.m.).m. (second) 1594, an Afghan lady from Rupar, regent for her elder son 1600-1624. He d. at Maler, 1600, having had issue, two sons:
    • 1) Saif ul-Mulk, Nawab Muhammad Bayazid Khan Bahadur, Asadu'llah Jang, Nawab of Malerkotla (s/o the Afghan wife) - see below.
    • 2) Khan Sahib Muhammad Bahawal Khan [Babbal Khan]. b. at Maler, 1595 (s/o the Afghan wife), educ. privately. He was k. by his cousin, Sultan Khan, at Kotla, 1653.
