Long and Faithful Service Medal: instituted by Maharaja Sir Jagatjit Singh in 1897 to recognise long service and distinguished conduct. Awarded in a military and civil division, in two classes (1. First Class in gold - 25 years service, and 2. Second Class in silver - 15 years service). Ribbon: dark blue with white edge stripes and a central white stripe down the middle (similar to the Nishan-i-Iftikhar). Obsolete 1950.
