1748 - 1758 H.E. Shri Diwan Nawab Muhammad Bahadur Khan Bahadur Babi, Nawab of Junagadh. b. as Khan Shri Muhammad Sher Khanji Salabatkhanji Babi, eldest son of Nawab Salabat Muhammad Khan Bahadur Babi, of Gogha and Balasinor, sometime Naib Faujdar of Junagadh, educ. privately. Entered the Mughal service and appointed to an Imperial mansab of 500 zat and 270 sowar and granted the title of Nawab Muhammad Bahadur Khan Bahadur 1722. Thanadar of Sadra and Virpur 1722, Naib Faujdar of Surat 1728-1733, and of Junagadh 1729-1730, Faujdar of Baroda 1732-1734, Virangam 1734-1735 , Surat 1738-1743, Petlad, Nadiad, Arhar Matar, and Mundha 1736 , and of Junagadh 1738. Lost Baroda to the Marathas, 1734. Succeeded his father as jagirdar of Gogha and Balasinor 1730. Established his independence, and assumed the title of Nawab of Junagadh, 1748. m. (first) Bibi Sultan Begum Sahiba. m. (second) Ladki Bibi Sahiba. m. (third) Aman Bibi Sahiba. One of these wives was the daughter of Sardar Muhammad Khan Ghorni, sometime Faujdar of Baroda. He d. at Junagadh, 28th September 1758, having had issue, three sons:

1760 - 1762 H.E. Shri Diwan Nawab Muzaffar Khanji Ja’afarkhanji, Nawab Sahib of Junagadh, elder son of Khan Shri Ja’afar Khanji Shahamatkhanji Babi, of Ranpur, educ. privately. Proclaimed on the deposition of his nephew, 1760. Defeated and deposed by his cousin, Nawab Jawan Mard Khan II of Radhanpur, who annexed Junagadh to his domains, 1762. Granted Ranpur in return for renouncing all claims to Junagadh.

Deposed and imprisoned by his maternal nephew, 1760. Released and restored through the good offices of Thakore Shri Kumbhoji II Haloji Sahib, Thakore Sahib of Gondal, 1762. m. Shri Diwan Nawab Muhammad Mahabat Khanji I Bahadurkhanji, Nawab Sahib of Junagadh, by his wife, Bibi Sajjan Kunverba Begum Sahiba, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 2nd December 1774. m. (first) at Morvi, 1787, Bibi … Bakhta Begum Sahiba (d.s.p. at Junagadh), daughter of H.E. Nawab Muhammad Ghazi ud-din Khan Jawan Mard Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Radhanpur, Sami and Munjpur. m. (second) at Morvi, 1787, Bibi Kamal Bakhta Begum Sahiba (d. at Kisod, after February 1813), daughter of H.E. Nawab Muhammad Najm ud-din Khan Ghazi Bahadur, Nawab Sahib of Radhanpur, Tharad and Tervada, by his wife, Badshah Begum Sahiba. m. (third) 1795, a daughter of the Babi Khan Sahib of Bantva. m. 1811 - 1840 H.H. Shri Diwan Nawab Muhammad Bahadur Khanji II Bahadur Babi, Nawab Sahib of Junagadh. b. at Junagadh, 30th May 1795, as Nawabzada Shri Muhammad Sher Khanji Hamidkhanji Sahib, elder son of H.E. Shri Diwan Nawab Muhammad Hamid Khanji I Bahadur Babi, Nawab Sahib of Junagadh, by his Rajput wife, Ba Shri Rajkunverba Sahiba, educ. privately. Exiled to Virawal Patan together with his mother, during most of his father’s reign. Permitted to return to the capital and appointed as Heir Apparent on his father’s deathbed, February 1811. Proclaimed as Nawab and assumed full ruling powers on the death his father, 26th February 1811. Ascended the musnaid and assumed the reign name of Muhammad Bahadur Khanji II, at Junagadh, 3rd March 1811. Confirmed as ruler by the Maharaja Gaekwar of Baroda in March 1814, following a lengthy investigation into the claims of his putative brother Salabat Khanji. He came under the influence of the Arab Jemadar, Umar Mukhasam, an agent of the Gaekwar, who obtained a deed assigning Amreli, Kodinar and a share of Damnagar and Shiangar for his master in Baroda in 1812. When he attempted violence upon the Nawab, the latter appealed for British help, who expelled Mukhasam by force in 1816. He surrendered his right to collect tribute from other states, except through the British authorities, in 1822. Mbr High Court of Criminal Justice for Kathiawad 1831-1840. m. (first) at Junagadh, September 1820, H.H. Nawab Bai Shri Kesharbai Begum Sahiba (b. at Bhuj, 1796; d. at Junagadh, before 29th August 1824), natural daughter of H.H. Maharajadhiraj Mirza Maharao Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Shri Rayadhanji II, Rao of Cutch, by Sodhi Rani Surruba Sahib. m. (second) H.H. Nawab Magijub Begum Sahiba, a lady from Kutiana. m. (third) H.H. Nawab Dadibu Begum Sahiba, Regent for her son in 1840, a lady from Kutiana. m. (i) Naju Bibi Sahiba [Maija Sahiba]. He d. from a carbuncle on his rump, at Junagadh, 26th May 1840 (bur. Chitakhan Royal Cemetary), having had issue, three sons and one daughter:

Shri Diwan Nawab Muhammad Bahadur Khanji II Bahadur Babi, Nawab Sahib of Junagadh, by his third wife, H.H. Nawab Dadibu Begum Sahiba, Begum Regent of Junagadh, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father 26th May 1840. Reigned under the regency of his mother. m. (first) 1841, a daughter of Khan Shri Kamal ud-din Khanji Ghazanfar Khanji Babi, Khan Sahib of Manavadar. m. (second) 1841, a daughter of H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad Edul Khan Naver Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, by his wife, Nawab Shri Yamuna Bibi Sahiba, sometime Regent of Balasinor. He d.s.p. from consumption, at Junagadh, 1851 (succ. by his younger brother).
