1732 – 1768 Shrimant Rajashri Damajirao Gaekwad, Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda. b. 17xx, third son of Shrimant Sardar Pilajirao Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel  Shamsher Bahadur, of Sonagad, by his morganatic wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Munnoobai Sahib Gaekwad, educ. privately. Succeeded as head of his house on the death of his father, 14th May 1732. Defeated the Mogul armies at Baroda in 1734 and established his capital at that place. m. (first) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Manubai Sahib Gaekwad, of the Dabhade family. m. (second) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Kashibai Sahib Gaekwad [Keshar Bai], daughter of Shrimant Sardar Gopalrao Chavan Bhagurkar. m. (third) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Gangabai Sahib Gaekwad (d. after 1793), née Ahilya Bai Ghare, daughter of Shrimant Sardar Mahipatrao Ghare, Desmukh of Paren Mahal. m. (fourth) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Rajubai Sahib Gaekwad, daughter of the Dadhaba family of Talegaon. m. (ii) (morganatic) 1764, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Chandra Kunwarba Sahib Gaekwad, only daughter of Maharana Shri Gomalsinghji Jeetsinhji Sahib, Maharana of Rajpipla. He d. at Patan, after the battle of Panipat, 18th August 1768, having had issue, six sons and one daughter:

1768 - 1778 Shrimant Rajashri Sayajirao I [Bawa Sahib] Gaekwad, Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda, eldest son of H.H. Shrimant Rajashri Damajirao Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda, by his third wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Gangabai Sahib Gaekwad [Ahilya Bai], educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 18th August 1768. Accepted the regency of his younger brother, as a consequence of mental incapacity, 1771. m. a daughter of Meherban Shrimant Sardar Trimbukjirao Khadam Bande. He d.s.p. legit. 1792 (succ. by his brother), having had issue, two morganatic sons:

1778 - 1789 Shrimant Rajashri Fatehsinhrao Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda. b. before April 1751, third son of Shrimant Rajashri Damajirao Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda, by his third wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Gangabai Sahib Gaekwad [Ahilya Bai], educ. privately. Served as Regent for his brother from 1771 to 1778 when he ascended the gadi as sole ruler. Granted the title of Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur by the Peshwa 16th August 1778. Concluded a Treaty of alliance and mutual defence with the HEIC, 26th January 1780. m. a daughter of Meherban Shrimant Sardar Madhorao Khadam Bande. He d. from a fall from the upper story of his Palace at Baroda, 26th December 1789, having had issue, an only daughter:

1789 - 1793 Shrimant Rajashri Manajirao Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda. b. before April 1751, fifth son of Shrimant Rajashri Damajirao Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda, by his fifth wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Pritrabai Sahib Gaekwad [Kassoo Bai], educ. privately. Regent for his brother from 21st December 1789, succeeded on his death, 26th December 1789. He d. at Baroda, 27th July 1793.

1793 - 1800 Shrimant Rajashri Govindrao Gaekwad [Mama Sahib], Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda. b. at Baroda, 17xx, fourth son of Shrimant Rajashri Damajirao Gaekwad, Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda, by his second wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Kashibai Sahib Gaekwad [Keshar Bai], educ. privately. Opposed the assumption of power by his half-brother Fatehsinhrao, rebelled and attempted to beseige Baroda with Khanderao, 1778. Failed in his attempt and retired to Ahmadabad, from whence he fled to Lunawarda, then retired to Poona. Succeeded on the death of his brother, 27th July 1793. Ascended the gadi at the Badur Palace, Baroda, 19th December 1793. m. (first) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Gahinabai Raje Sahib Gaekwad (d. at Baroda, August 1834), daughter of Balaji Garud, headman of a village in the Poona district. m. (second) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Annapurnabai Raje Sahib Gaekwad, of Ganud. m. (third) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Ganjabai Sahib Gaekwad (d.s.p. at Baroda, 17xx), of Nungaon. m. (fourth) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Savitribai Sahib Gaekwad, née Jadhav, of Jogthabjee. m. (i) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Ranibai Sahib Gaekwad [the Khandarani Sahib] (d. after 3rd May 1813), daughter of Maharana Shri Raisinhji Pratapsinhji Sahib, Raja of Rajpipla. m. (ii) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Zailijogan Genabai Sahib Gaekwad, daughter of Thakore Shri Lakhasinhji Lunsinhji [Lakhoji], Thakore of Lathi. m. (iii) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Gayabai Raje Sahib Gaekwad (d. at Baroda, before 16th March 1832), née Chiranjivi Rajkumari Baiji Shri Gaj Kunwarba Sahiba, daughter of Namdar Shrimant Maha Mandaleshwar Maharajadhiraj Maharana Shri Somdevji II Dharma Dev Rana Raja, Maharana of Dharampur. m. (iv) Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Genabai Sahib Gaekwad, daughter of Maharana Shri Prathirajji Chandrasinhji Sahib, Thakore Sahib of Lakhthar. He d. Baroda, 19th September 1800, having had issue, eleven sons and one daughter:
