1795 – 1843 Shaikh ‘Abdu’llah bin Ahmad al-Khalifa,Al-Shoyoukh and Joint Chief of Bahrain and Al-Zubarrah, second son of Shaikh Ahmad al-Fateh bin Muhammad al-Khalifa, Al-Shoyoukh and Chief of Bahrain and Al-Zubarrah. Succeeded on the death of his father as Joint Chief of Bahrain with his elder brother Salman, before 18th July 1795. Driven out by the Sayyid of Muscat 1800-1801, re-conquered Bahrain with Wahhabi aid 1801, detained in Dar’iya 1801-1810. Entered into treaty relations with the British, through the General Treaty of Peace of 1820. Joint ruler together with his nephew, Shaikh Khalifa 1825-1834 and his grand-nephew Muhammad 1834-1843. Expelled Shaikh Muhammad in June 1842, but was in turn expelled by him with Wahhabi aid, April 1843. m. (first) a Shaikha from the al-Khalifa clan. m. (second) Sheikha bint Muhammad al-Benali. He d. at Muscat, January 1849, having had issue:
