Maeli'uaki Fatu, 15^th Tu'i Ha'atakalaua and 8^th Tu'i Konokupolo, second son of son of Ma'afu-'o-tu'itonga, 6^th Tu'i Kanokupolu, by his third wife, Latutama, daughter of Fakatakatu'u, 1^st Tu'i Ha'ateiho. m. (first) Lupemeitaku'i, former wife of Tupoulahi, 7^th Tu'i Konokupolo, and daughter of Tungimana'ia, 2^nd Tu'i Ha'ateiho, by his third wife, Takala. m. (second) Langilangiha'aluma. m. (third) Popua. He had issue, two sons and two daughters:

1) H.H. Mulikiha'amea, 16^th Tu'i Ha-a Takala'ua and 11^th Tu'i Konokupolo (s/o Lupemeitaku'i).

1) Kongakava. m. as his second wife, H.H. Fatafehi Paulaho, 36^th Tu'i Tonga (d. 1784), third son of Fatafehi Tu'ipulatu II, 35^th Tu'i Tonga, by his second wife, Laumanakilupe, daughter of Tupouto'a, of the Tu'i Konokupolo family. She had issue - see Tonga (Tu'i Tonga).
2) Latutama (d/o Langilangiha'aluma). m. Ikamafana II, 5^th Ma'atu, of Niu'atuputapu (k. on 'Uvea). She had issue, one son and one daughter - Tonga (Niu'atuputapu).

1777 - 1799 H.H. Mulikiha'amea, 16^th Tu'i Ha-a Takala'ua and 11^th Tu'i Konokupolo, eldest son of H.H. Maeli'uaki Fatu, 15^th Tu'i Ha'atakalaua and 8^th Tu'i Konokupolo, by his first wife, Lupemeitaku'i, daughter of The Hon. Tungimana'ia, 2^nd Tu'i Ha'ateiho. Succeeded on the death of his father, 1777. Elected as 11^th Tu'i Konokupolo, after the death of Tupou Lahisi', ca. 1789. Abdicated that title in 1793. Attempted to resume the position of Tu'i Konokupolo in opposition to Tupou Malohi, April 1799. m. (first) Toa'ila.m. (second) Teufaiva. m. (third) Ikatonga, daughter of the Moholamua'amotu, of Fua'amotu. m. (fourth) Mapatuta'i, eldest daughter of Fu'atakifohaha, 15^th Tu'i Ha'a Takala'ua, by his first wife, Ungafa. m. (fifth) Fataimoemanu. m. (sixth) Tupou'ahau, daughter of Fu'atakifohaha, 15^th Tu'i Ha'a Takala'ua, by his first wife, Ungafa. He was k. at the Battle of Te'ekiu, 10^th May 1799 (bur. Langi Lo'amanu, Lapaha, Mu'a), having had issue, four sons and three daughters:

1) Palu Ma'eliu'aki Fatukimotulalo (s/o Ikatonga). Heir to the Tu'i Ha'a Takala'ua title. m. Kaunanga, daughter of Haveahikule'o, by his wife, Halaevalu Fononga Vainga, daughter of Mumui'i Topou'ila Mapatongiamanu, 13^th Tu'i Konokupolo. - a) The Hon. 'Uiliame Tungi Halatu'itu'ia, 1^st Tungi (cre. 1875). b. on Tongatapu, 1822 (s/o Kaunanga). Converted to Christianity and baptised with the name of 'Uiliame (William) 1850. PC 1875-1900, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly & Vice-Prest. Privy Cncl. 1875 and 1893-1900, Governor of Tongatapu 1875, Minister for Lands 1890-1893. Appointed as successor to the throne by an amendment to the constitution in 20^th November 1885, should King Tupou II have died without an heir. m. (first) 1853, The Hon. 'Anaseini Tupou Veihola Tungi, daughter of Malakai Lavula, by his wife, Halaevalu Mata'aho, daughter of H.H. Tupouto'a, 17^th Tu'i Konokupolo. m. (second) 'Esetia. He d. at Latai, Kolofo'ou, 13^th June 1900 (bur. Falapulema'alo, Langi Lo'amanu, Lapaha, Mu'a), having had issue, one son:
  - i) Colonel The Hon. Sia'osi Tuku'aho, PC. b. at Mua, 18^th March 1854 (s/o 'Anaseini). ADC to the King 1877, Cdt. Royal Guards 1887, DO of Mu'a 1887-1890, Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs 1890-1893. m. at Mu'a, 12^th September 1886, Mele Siu'ilikutapu Tuku'aho (b. 24^th July 1865; d. at Mu'a, 29^th July 1921, bur. Mala'e 'Aloa, Nuku'alofa), daughter of The Hon. Sunia Mafile'o, sometime Treasurer & Minister for Finance, by his wife, The Hon. Fane Tupouvava'u Mafile'o, younger daughter of Finau-'Ulukalala-'i-Pouno-Tuapasi'i Sefaria, Tu'i Vava'u and 3^rd Finau-'Ulukalala.     - (1) Colonel H.R.H. Prince Tamasi'i 'Uiliame Tungi Tupoulahi Mailefili Tuku'aho, 2^nd Tungi, CBE (c 3.5.1937). b. at Fatai House, Kolofo'ou, Nuku'alofa, 8^th November 1887, educ. Newington Coll., Sydney, 'Api Fo'ou Sch., Ma'ufanga, and Tupou Coll., Kolomotu'a. Succeeded on the death of his grandfather, 13^th June 1900. Represented Tonga at the Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary at Westminster Abbey, 1911. Governor of Vav'au 1912-1918, Asst. Minister for Lands 1912, Minister for Lands 1922-1923, Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs 1923-1940. Colonel-in-Chief Royal Tonga Defence Force 1939-1940. Rcvd: Coron (1911 and 1937), and Silver Jubilee (1935) medals, GC of the Order of the Crown of Tonga (1917). Granted The Hon. title of Tungi (1909) and that of Prince with the style of His Royal Highness, 19^th September 1917. m. at The Chapel Royal, Nuku'alofa, 19^th September 1917, H.M. Salote Mafile'o Pilolevu Veiongo Tupou III, Queen of Tonga, GCMG, GCVO, GBE, DStJ (b. at the Royal Palace, Nuku'alofa, 13^th March 1900; d. at Auckland, New Zealand, 16^th December 1965), eldest daughter of H.M. King Sia'osi Taufa'ahau Tupou II, by his second wife, H.M. Queen Lavinia Veiongo, daughter of The Hon. 'Asipeli Kupu-a-vanu'a, Minister for Police. He d. at Uoleva, Tatakamotongo, Mu'a, 20^th July 1941 (bur. Mala'e 'Aloa, Nuku'alofa), having had issue, three sons - see below. He also had further issue, a natural daughter:

- b) Tupou Vei'afu.
- c) Finau. He d. after 1838.
- a) 'Ilaisa'ane Tupou'ahau. m. (first) as his second wife, The Hon. Matekitonga, 4^th Finau-'Ulukalala (b. 1833; d. 1877), son of Finau-'Ulukalala-'i-Pouno-Tuapasi'i Sefaria, Tu'i Vava'u and 3^rd Finau-'Ulukalala, by his second wife, Tupou Veiongo, daughter of Ikamafana II, 5^th Ma'atu. m. (second) Kemoeatu, Fulivai, son of Fulivai, by her aunt, Paluvava'au, daughter of H.H. Mulikiha'amea, 11^th Tu'i Konokupolo and 16^th Tu'i Ha-a Takala'ua. m. (third) Penisimanu Latuselu, son of Makapapa, by his wife, Paluleleva, daughter of H.H. Mulikiha'amea, 11^th Tu'i Konokupolo and 16^th Tu'i Ha-a Takala'ua. She d. 1867, having had issue, by all three husbands.
2) Vakameilalo (s/o Mapatuta'i).
3) 'Unga Papalangi (s/o Fataimoemanu).
4) Palu Matamo'ana. Fled to Samoa after the usurpation of Finau-'Ulukalala, 1799. Travelled to Tahiti, Australia and China during his exile. Returned to Tonga in 1807. m. Fatafehi, and had issue:
- a) A daughter m. The Rev. James Reid, by whom she had three children.
1) Palulongoteme. m. as his third wife, H.H. Fatafehi Fuanunu'iava, 38^th Tu'i Tonga (b. 1765; d. 1810), eldest son of H.H. Fatafehi Paulaho, Tu'i Tonga, by his principal wife, Tupou Mohe'ofo, 12^th Tu'i Konokupolo, daughter of Tongamana, and Fuonuku - see Tonga (Tu'i Tonga).
2) Paluvava'au (d/o Toa'ila). m. Fulivai. She had issue, a son:
- a) Kemoeatu, Fulivai. m. (first) Tupou'ahau, daughter of Palu Ma'eliu'aki Fatukimotulalo. m. (second) as her second husband, 'Ilaisa'ane Tupou'ahau (m. third, Penisimanu Latuselu, and d. 1867), former wife of The Hon. Matekitonga, 4^th Finau-'Ulukalala, and daughter of his maternal uncle, Palu Ma'eliu'aki Fatukimotulalo, by his wife Kaunanga, daughter of Haveahikule'o. He had issue, two daughters:
  - i) Taupeavai (d/o Tupou'ahau). m. as his second wife, The Hon. Fatafehi, 1^st Kalanivalu (b. at Ha'apai, 10^th November 1828; d. 1903 (bur. Langi Paepae-'o-tele'a, Lapaha, Mu'a), third son of H.H. Samuelio Fatafehi Laufilitonga, 39^th Tu'i Tonga, by his second wife, Luseane Halaevalu Mata'aho, Mohe'ofo, daughter of Tupouto'a, 17^th Tu'i Kanokupulu. She had issue - see Tonga (Tu'i Tonga).
  - ii) Veisinia Moalapau'u (d/o 'Ilaisa'ane). m. as his first wife, 'Isileli Tupou (b. at Ha'apai, 15^th August 1827; d.v.p. at sea, before 1893), son of H.M. Sia'osi Taufa'ahau Tupou [George Tupou I], King of Tonga, by his junior wife, Pasikole. She had issue, one son - see Tonga (Tupou).

- a) Penisimanu Latuselu (s/o Makapapa). m. (first) …m. (second) 'Ilaisa'ane Tupou'ahau (d. 1867), daughter of Palu Ma'eliu'aki Fatukimotulalo.
  - i) Siosiane Tongoua Taemanusa. m. (first) 2^nd March 1875, The Hon. Sioeli Kalaivalu, 8^th Ma'atu (d. at Niu'atuputapu, 14^th May 1894), sometime Governor of Niu'atuputapu, second son of Ngongo, 6^th Ma'atu, of Niu'atuputapu, by his wife, Tonga Ha'apai, daughter of Sisitoutai, by whom she had issue, two sons and one daughter - see Tonga (Niu'atuputapu). m. (second) Tevita 'Ula 'Afuha'amango, 'Ula (d. 5^th February 1925), a matapule. She d. at Uoleva, Tatakamotongo, 5^th July 1931 (bur. Tatakamotongo, Mu'a), having had further issue, three daughters by her second husband:
    - (1) Vika Kaufisi (d/o 'Ula). m. Tului. She had issue:
      - (a) Tupou Maluhola.
    - (2) H.M. Queen 'Anaseini Takipo. b. 1^st March 1893 (d/o 'Ula). Rcvd: GC of the Order of the Crown of Tonga (18.8.1914). m. at the Chapel Royal, Nuku'alofa, 11^th November 1909, H.M. Sia'osi Taufa'ahau Tupou II [George Tupou II], King of Tonga (b. at Neiafu, Vav'au,18^th June 1874; d. at the Royal Palace, Nuku'alofa, 5^th April 1918, and bur. Mala'e Kula, Nuku'alofa), only son of H.H. Prince Sia'osi Fatafehi Toutaitokotaha, 4^th Tu'i Pelehake, sometime Prime Minister, by his first wife, H.R.H. Princess Elisiva Fusipala Tauki'onetuku, Heiress Presumptive and daughter of H.R.H. Crown Prince Tevita 'Unga Motangitau'. She d. at Finefekai, in the influenza epidemic, 26^th November 1918 (bur. Mala'e 'Aloa, Nuku'alofa), having had issue, two daughters - see Tonga (Tupou).
    - (3) Muimui. b. 1894 (d/o 'Ula). m. The Hon. Sioape Feiloakitau Kaho (b. 1877; d. 1959), Sometime Minister for Police, third son of Kahomovailahi 'Ulukiliupetea, by his wife, The Hon.
