1797 - 1834 H.I.M. Zillu'llah Gity Sitan Sikander Shahan Jam Jah Faridun Far Kisra Shaukat-i-Islam Panah Shari'at Panah Hafiz-i-Mulk-i-'Azam Sultan ibn Sultan Fath 'Ali Shah, Khusru Keshvar-sitan, Sahib-i-Qiran, Shahanshah of the God protected realms of Persia. b. at Damghan, 5th September 1772, as Fath 'Ali Khan-e Qajar Quyunlu, educ. privately. Nicknamed Khan Baba Khan during his early years. Appointed Heir Apparent to his uncle with the style of Sultan Fath 'Ali Shah and the title of Vali Ahad-i-Khakan-i-Maghfur, 1790. Appointed General and Cdr. of the expedition to Iraq 1791, Governor-General of Fars, Kerman and Yazd 1794-1797. Styled Nawab-i-Mustatab-i-Jahanbani from 1794, and Nai'b us-Sultana from 14th May 1796. Succeeded on the death of his uncle, 17th June 1797. Crowned at Tehran, 21st March 1798. Founded the Nishan-i-Khurshid (the Grand Order of the Sun) in 1807, and Nishan-i-Shir u Khurshid (the Imperial Order of the Lion and Sun) in 1808.
