The Order of the Mexican Eagle - collar and collar badge.

The Imperial Order of the Mexican Eagle (Orden Imperial del Águila Mexicana): founded by Emperor Maximilian on 1st January 1865 as the supreme award for pre-eminent and exceptional services to the state and to the person of the Emperor. Awarded in a superior class (Grand Cross with Collar-Gran Cruce con Collar – limited to Heads of State and the most distinguished Mexican statesmen) and five ordinary classes (1. Grand Cross-Gran Cruce – limited to 12, 2. Grand Officer-Gran Oficial – limited to 25, 3. Commander-Comendador – limited to 50, 4. Officer-Oficial – limited to 100, and 5. Knight-Caballero – limited to 200).Obsolete.
 

The Imperial Order of the Mexican Eagle - Grand Cross, breast star (L), sash and sash badge (L).

The Imperial Order of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Orden Imperial de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe): established by decree of the provisional Imperial government on 30th June 1863, and reformed by Emperor Maximilian on 10th April 1865. Awarded for general distinguished and meritorious services to the state in two divisions (military and civil) and five classes (1. Grand Cross-Gran Cruce – limited to thirty recipients at any one time, 2. Grand Officer-Grande Oficial – limited to one hundred, 3. Commander-Comendador – limited to two hundred, and 4. Officer-Oficial – limited to five hundred, and 5. Knight-Caballero – unlimited). The reverse of the military division insignia being inscribed Al patriotismo heroico and that of the civil division Al merito y virtudes. Obsolete .
The Imperial Order of Our Lady of Guadalupe - Grand Cross, collar and collar badge.  

The Imperial Order of Our Lady of Guadalupe - Grand Cross, breast star (L), sash and sash badge (R).

The Imperial Order of Our Lady of Guadalupe - Commander, neck badge, military division (L) and civil division (R). 

The Imperial Order of St Charles (Orden Imperial de San Carlos): founded by Emperor Maxmilian on 1st January 1865. Awarded to ladies only, for acts of outstanding civil merit or charitable services, in two classes (1. Grand Cross- Gran Cruce – limited to twenty-four, and 2. Cross-Cruce – unlimited in number). Obsolete.  

The Order of St Charles - Second Class or Cross of St Charles, shoulder badge.

 
The Decoration for Military Merit (Condecoración al Mérito Militar): instituted by Emperor Maximilian on 1st January 1865 as a military decoration for gallantry and brave conduct. Awarded in three classes (1. First Class or the Gold Decoration for Military Merit – limited to non-commissioned personal for supreme acts of valour in the field, 2. Second Class or the Silver Decoration for Military Merit – limited to non-commissioned personal for acts of gallantry in the face of the enemy, and 3. Third Class or the Bronze Decoration for Military Merit – conferred on both officers and non-commissioned personal commended by the Emperor for meritorious service or brave conduct).

The Decoration for Military Merit - Second Class (L) and Third Class (R)..

The Decoration for Civil Merit (Condecoración al Mérito Civil): instituted by Emperor Maximilian on 1st January 1865 to reward meritorious services of a civil nature as a counterpart to the Decoration of Military Merit. Awarded in three grades (1. First Class or the Gold Decoration for Civil Merit, 2. Second Class or the Silver Decoration for Civil Merit, and 3. Third Class or the Bronze Decoration for Civil Merit). Obsolete.

The Decoration for Civil Merit - Second Class.

The Decoration for Scientific and Artistic Merit (Condecoración al Mérito Científico é Artístico): instituted by Emperor Maximilian in April 1865 to reward and promote achievement in the arts and sciences. Awarded in three classes (gold, silver and bronze) and limited to Mexcian nationals only. Obsolete.
