Sultan Abu Bakar II Sri Asa Is Loka Maha Radun, Sultan of
the Maldives, son of Al-Amir Ibrahim FarinaKilege,
by his wife Sanfa'a Dio, educ. privately.
Proclaimed ruler before 2nd September 1555
o.s. in opposition to Dom Manuel, but apprently ruled
only certian parts of the islands not under Portuguese
conrol. He was k. in battle, after a reign of two
months and fifteen days, before 16th November
1555 o.s.

Sultan 'Ali VI Sri Audhasiyaka Kathiri Maha Radun ['Ali
Rasgefa'anu], Sultan of the Maldives, son of Al-Amir
Sayyid 'Abd'ul-Rahman Ba Alawi DorimenaKilegefa'anu,
of Ba'ara, in Tiladummati Atoll, by his wife, Sitti Kamba'adiKilege, daughter of BoduNiyameThakuru'fa'anu
of Feridu Island, Ari Atoll, educ. privately. He
continued the struggle against the Portuguese after the
death of Abu Bakar II in 1555, ruling those parts of the
islands not under their dominion. Proclaimed as ruler,
following the death of Sultan Abu Bakar II, before 21st
March 1558 o.s. m. H.H. Aisha Kabafa'anuRani
Kilege (m. second, the Portuguese Viyador
or Agent of Uthimu. m. third, at Malé, 1573,
Sultan Ghazi Muhammed Akbar al-'Azam ibn Kalege Husain,
Sultan of the Maldives - see below), daughter of Sultan
Muhammad ibni al-Marhum Sultan Umar Sri Dhammaru Buwana
Maha Radun [Hilali Kalu Muhammad], Sultan of the
Maldives, by his wife, BurakiRani,
daughter of Rekka Kamanafa'anu. He was k.
in action against the Portuguese under Manoel da
Silveira, in the shallow sea water in Western Malé, 19th
May 1558 o.s. (bur. there on a plot of reclaimed
land), having had issue, one son and a daughter:
1) KudaKalafa'anu (s/o Aisha Kabafa'anu).
