1831 - 1900 H.H.
Maharaja Rana Shri Vikramatji Khimojiraj Sahib, Rana
Sahib of Porbandar. b. at the Darbargadh,
Porbandar, 1st April 1819, as Bhojirajji, only
son of H.H. Maharaja Rana Shri Khimojiraj Haloji Sahib,
Rana Sahib of Porbandar, by his second wife, H.H. Rani Ba
Shri Rupaliba Kunverba Sahiba, sometime Rani Regent of
Porbandar, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death
of his father, 20th June 1831 and ascended thegadi on the same day, at the Darbargadh,
Porbandar. Reigned under the Regency of his mother until
her death in 1841. Assumed full ruling powers in 1841.
Entrusted the management of state affairs to his son and
went on an extensive tour of India in 1863. The
administration having deteriorated due to neglect, the
status of Porbandar was degraded from a first-class to a
third-class state in 1869, and the administration taken
over by the Bombay government in 1886. Received a sanad
of adoption, 23rd June 1890. m. (first)

Jhaladap Mahamandleshwar Maharana Shri Raj Amarsinhji

Dhrangadhra, by his fifth wife, H.H. Raniji Bai Shri Raba
Kunverba Sahiba, daughter of Thakore Shri Desaji Sahib
Jadeja, Thakore Sahib of Malia. m. (second)
at Sarodar, H.H. Rani Ba Shri Bairaj Kunverba Sahiba,
daughter of Kumar Shri Raghoji Jasoji [Radhubha] Sahib,
of Sarodar in Nawanagar State. He d. at the Daria
Rajmahal Palace, Porbandar, 21st April 1900,
having had issue, five sons:

Lieutenant-Colonel H.H. Maharaja Rana Shri Natwarsinhji Bhavsinhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharaja Rana Sahib of Porbandar, KCSI (3.6.1929). b. at the Daria Rajmahal Palace, Porbandar, 30th June 1901, only son of H.H. Maharaja Rana Shri Bhavsinhji Madhavsinhji Sahib Bahadur, Rana Sahib of Porbandar, by his third wife, H.H. Maharani Bama Sahib Ramba Kunverba Sahiba, educ. Rajkumar Coll., Rajkot. Succeeded on the death of his father, 10th December 1908. Installed on the gadi at the Huzoor Palace, Porbandar, 11th December 1908. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, 26th January 1920. Granted the hereditary territorial title of Maharaja, in recognition of his services during the Great War, 1st January 1918. Captain of the first All-India Cricket team to tour England 1931-1932. Cmsnd as Hon Capt British Army 4/7/1941, served in WWII 1941-1945, prom Hon Maj 15/8/1945, and Hon Lieut-Col 15/10/1946. Signed the instrument of accession to the Dominion of India, 15th August 1947. Merged his state into the United State of Kathiawad, 15th February 1948. The GOI amended the Indian Constitution to remove his position as a “ruler” and his right to receive privy-purse payments, 28th December 1971. Musician, painter and writer. Author of “From the Flow of Life” (1967), “India's Problems. Reflections of an ex-Ruler” (1970), “International Solidarity” (1975), etc. Joint composer of the “Oriental Moon” waltz (1930). Mbr The Roshanara Club (Delhi), Maconoche Club (Porbandar), British Sportsmen’s Club (Lond) etc. Rcvd: Delhi Durbar gold medal (1911), Silver Jubilee (1935), Coron (1937) and Indian Independence (1947) medals. m. (first) at Limbdi, 5th February 1920, H.H. Rani Shri Rupaliba Kunverba Sahib, MBE (c 1.1.1919) (b. at Jamnagar, 1898; d. at Porbandar, 26th October 1943), rcvd: Silver Jubilee (1935), Coron (1937) medals, eldest daughter of Colonel H.H. Thakore Sahib Shri Sir Daulatsinhji Jasvatsinhji Sahib Bahadur, Thakore Sahib of Limbdi, KCSI, KCIE, by his wife, H.H. Thakorani Bai Shri Balubha Sahib, daughter of Shri Jetiji Singh, of Panshasara, in Nawanagar state. m. (second) 20th November 1954, H.H. Maharani Shri Anantkunverba Sahib (b. at Bridgend, Glamorganshire, Wales, 25th March 1911; d. at Hammersmith, London, 5th December 1989, crem. at Golders Green Crematorium), née Annie [Annette] G. Job, former wife of Annesley E. A. de Silva, of Colombo, Ceylon. He d. at Anant Niwas, Khambala, 5th November 1979, having adopted the son of Rana Shri Shivsinhji Motiji Sahib Jethwa, of Shrinagar, as his son and successor:
