1864 - 1890 H.H. Maharajadhiraj Maharawat Shri Udai Singhji Bahadur, Maharawat of Partabgarh. b. at Partabgarh, 29th June 1848, only surviving son of H.H. Maharajadhiraj Maharawat Shri Dalpat Singhji Bahadur, Maharawat of Partabgarh, by his second wife, H.H. Bada Rathorji Maharani Shri Moti Kunwarji Sahiba, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 30th March 1864. Installed on the gadi, at Partabgarh, 22nd June 1864. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers. During his reign, the first steps towards modernising the state administration and public services began. The first state dispensary opened in 1867, public schools in 1875, the first metalled roads constructed, the judicial system and the courts reformed. (second) at Jaswant Vilas Palace, Sailana, July 1883, H.H. Bada Rathorji Maharani Shri Juhar Kunwari Sahiba (d. at Sailana, March 1895), elder daughter of H.H. Raja Shreeman Dule Singhji Bahadur, Raja of Sailana. m. (third) at Jaswant Vilas Palace, Sailana, July 1883, H.H. Chhota Rathorji Maharani Shri Phul Kunwari Sahiba, younger daughter of H.H. Raja Shreeman Dule Singhji Bahadur, Raja of Sailana. He d. at Partabgarh, 15th February 1890, having had issue, two sons:
  • 1) Shriman Maharajkumar Shri Hamir Singhji Bahadur, Yuvaraj Sahib of Partabgarh. b. at Partabgarh, 29th March 1865 (s/o Swarup Kunverba). He d.v.p. at Partabgarh, 1869.
  • 2) Shriman Maharajkumar Shri Arjun Singhji Bahadur, Yuvaraj Sahib of Partabgarh. b. at Partabgarh, 1st March 1887 (s/o Juhar Kunverba), and d. at Partabgarh, November 1888.
Maharawat Shri Udai Singhji Bahadur adopted the son of Maharaj Khushal Singh, of Arnod, as his son and successor, following the death of his own sons:
  • 3) Shriman Maharajkumar Shri Raghunath Singhji Bahadur, Yuvaraj Sahib of Partabgarh, who succeded as H.H. Maharajadhiraj Maharawat Shri Sir Raghunath Singhji Bahadur, Maharawat of Partabgarh - see below.
Maharawat Shri Udai Singhji Bahadur also had further issue, a natural son:
  • 4) Raja Prithvi Singhji Sahib Bahadur [Prativi Singh]. b. 1869, educ. Mayo Coll, Ajmer. m. Allahrakhi Baisa, a Muslim lady (Basad Ganwo). He had issue, two sons:
    • a) Raja ‘Abdu’l Aziz Khan Bahadur, né Kunwar Kesri Singhji. Raised to the title of Raja Kesri Singhji Sahib Bahadur. Converted to Islam and assumed the name and title of Raja ‘Abdu’l Aziz Khan Bahadur. m. (first) Rani Gowhar Ara Begum Sahiba (b. at Jaora, 15th May 1888; d.s.p. 3rd August 1959), daughter of Major H.H. Ihtisham ud-Daula, Nawab Muhammad Ismail Khan Bahadur, Firuz Jang, Nawab of Jaora, by Karima Bai. m. (second) Begum Sahiba (b. at Hasan Abdal, near Rawalpindi, Punjab), daughter of H.E. Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, of Afghanistan, sometime Governor of Kabul, Herat and Ghazni. He had issue, six sons and two daughters by his second wife:
      • i) Kunwar ‘Abdu’l Saleem Khan, né Kunwar Bag Baag Singh Sisodiya.
      • ii) Kunwar ‘Abdu’l Shakoor Khan, né Kunwar Bakhtawar Singh Sisodiya.
      • iii) Kunwar Jung Bahadur Sahib, né Kunwar Bheem Singh Sisodiya.
      • iv) Kunwar Arjumand Khan, né Kunwar Ranjeet Singh Sisodiya. Deputy Collector of Sehore. m. at Jaora, 1954, Sahibzadi Anisa Sultan Begum (b. at Jaora, 17th January 1937; d. at Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, 23rd February 1998), fourth daughter of Sahibzada Mir Ghulam Zainal Abidin Ahmad Sahib, of Surat, sometime Sec PWD and Education depts of Jaora, by his second wife, Aziz Jahan Begum Sahiba, a convert to Islam. He had issue, one son and three daughters:
        • (1) Sahibzada Muhammad Ateeb Khan. b. 1st July 1972. m. Shahana Tabassum Begum, from a Syed family of Bhopal. He has issue, one son and one daughter:
          • (a) Sahibzada Inshal Khan. b. 11th March 2000.

1890 - 1929 H.H. Maharajadhiraj Maharawat Shri Sir Raghunath Singhji Bahadur, Maharawat of Partabgarh, KCIE (12.12.1911). b. at Arnod, 26th December 1856, son of Maharaj Khushal Singh, of Arnod, educ. privately. Adopted by Maharawat Shri Udai Singhji Bahadur as his son and successor, and invested with the title of Shriman Maharajkumar Bahadur. Succeeded on his death, 15th February 1890. Installed on the gadi at Partabgarh, 18th February 1890. Granted a permanent salute of 15-guns. He continued many of the developments instituted by his father, and extended these by establishing a municipal committee in 1893, building a modern hospital and establishing middle schools.     • a) Lalji Bai Sahib Mahendra Kumariji Sahiba [Thakurani Mahendra Kumari Sahiba, of Ras]. m. Thakur Bhawani Singh (b. 1932), younger son of Rao Bahadur Thakur Nathu Singhji, Thakur of Ras, under Jodhpur Marwar. She had issue.
    • b) Lalji Bai Sahib Shiv Kumariji Sahiba [Thakurani Shiv Kumari, of Raipur]. m.
