1900 - 1926 Lieutenant-Colonel H.H. Umdai Rajahai Buland Makan Diwan Maharaja Shri Sir Madan Singhji Bahadur, Maharaja of Kishangarh, KCSI (12.12.1911), KCIE (1.1.1909). b. at Kishangarh, 1st November 1884, second son of H.H. Umdai Rajahai Buland Makan Maharaja Shri Sir Sadul Singhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharaja of Kishangarh, by his wife, H.H. Maharani Shri Jas Kunwarji Sahiba, educ. privately and with the Imperial Cadet Corps, Dehra Dun. Succeeded on the death of his father, 18th August 1900. Installed on the gadi, at the Durbar Hall, Kishangarh, 29th August 1900. Reigned under a Council of Regency, until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, 11th December 1905. Cmsnd as Hon Capt British Army 5/2/1908, prom Hon Maj 12/12/1911, served in the Great War with the IEF in France 1914-1915 (MID), prom Hon Lieut-Col 1/8/1917. Granted a personal salute of 17-guns, in recognition of his war services, 1st January 1921. Rcvd: Delhi Durbar gold medals (1903 and 1911), MID, 1914 star, British War and Allied Victory medals (1918). m. (first) at Udaipur, 9th February 1904, H.H. Bada Ranawatji Maharani Ankaran Bai Sahiba, fourth daughter of H.H. 108 Sri Maharajadhiraja Raj Rajeshwar Ravi Kula Bushana-Mahi Mahindra Yavadarya Kula Kamaldhivakara Chattis Rajkul Singar Maharana Sir Fateh Singh Bahadur, Hindua Suraj, Hindupati, Maharana of Udaipur, GCSI, GCIE, GCVO. m. (second) 1911, H.H. Maharani Yeshwant Kunverba Sahiba, youngest daughter of Thakore Shri Raisinhji Jijibhai Sahib Jadeja, Thakore Sahib of Khirasra. m. Umdai Rajahai Buland Makan Diwan Maharaja Shri Yagya Narayan Singhji Bahadur, Maharaja of Kishangarh. b. at Karkheri, 26th January 1896, only son of Maharaj Shri Dixit Jawan Singhji Sahib, of Karkheri, by his wife, Rani Shri Takht Kanwar Sahiba, educ. Mayo Coll, Ajmer. Succeeded on the death of his father to the Karkeri estates, 1st September 1903. Adopted by his uncle and appointed as his Heir Apparent with the titles of Maharajkumar and Yuvraj Sahib Bahadur. Succeeded on the death of his adoptive father, October 1926. Installed on the gadi, at the Durbar Hall, Kishangarh, 24th November 1926. Rcvd: Silver Jubilee (1935) and Coron. (1937) medals. m. (first) May 1915, H.H. Khichanji Maharani Sahiba (d. at Kishangarh, 1943), a sister of Rao Raja Bahadur Ratan Singh, Raja of Maksudangarh, under Gwalior. m. (second) March 1933, a daughter of Raja Bahadur Ratan Singh, Raja of Maksudangarh, under Gwalior. He d. at Kishangarh, 3rd February1939, having had issue, three sons and two daughters:

1939 - 1971 H.H. Umdai Rajahai Buland Makan Maharaja Shri Umdag Sumer Singhji Bahadur, Maharaja of Kishangarh. b. at Zorawarpura, 27th January 1929, as Kunwar Sumer Singh, younger son of Rajvi Budh Singhji, of Zorawarpura, educ. Mayo Coll, Ajmer. Adopted by the Senior Maharani Ankaran Bai on the instructions left by the late Maharaja Shri Yagya Narayan Singhji, 15th February 1939. Recognised as his successor by the Government of India, and formally installed on the gadi, at Kishangarh, 24th April 1939. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, 5th June 1947. Signed the Instrument of Accession to the Dominion of India, 15th August 1947. He concluded a covenant with his fellow rulers to form the United State of Rajasthan on 25th March 1948, by which Kishangarh merged into that union effective from 18th April 1948. Consented to a further covenant creating the Greater Rajasthan Union on 10th March 1949, by which his state merged with that union effective 30th March 1949 (when he ceased to enjoy sovereign powers). MLA for Kishangarh in the Rajasthan state assembly 1967-1971. Rcvd: Indian Independence medal (1948). m. at the Hawa Mahal, Palitana, 30th January 1948, H.H. Maharani Shri Gita Kumari Sahiba, third daughter of H.H. Maharaja Thakore Shri Sir Bahadursinhji Mansinhji Sahib, Maharaja of Palitana, KCSI, KCIE, by his wife, H.H. Maharani Shri Sitaba Kunverba Sahiba, eldest daughter of H.H. Maharaja Thakore Shri Bhojirajsinhji [Bhojirajji] Sahib, Maharaja Thakore Sahib of Gondal. He was k. 16th February 1971, having had issue, two sons and two daughters:

1971  H.H. Umdai Rajahai Buland Makan Maharaja Shri Brajraj Singhji Bahadur, Maharaja of Kishangarh. b. at Phool Mahal, Payandaz Bagh, Kishangarh, 22nd August 1953, son of H.H. Umdai Rajahai Buland Makan Maharaja Shri Umdag Sumer Singhji Bahadur, Maharaja of Kishangarh, by his wife, H.H. Maharani Shrimati Gita Kumari Sahiba, educ. Mayo Coll., Ajmer. Succeeded on the death of his father, 16th February 1971 (formally recognised by the President of India, being one of the last princes to be so recognised by the republic). The GOI amended the Indian Constitution to remove his position as a “ruler” and his right to receive privy-purse payments, 28th December 1971. Proprietor of the Roopnagarh and Phool Mahal heritage hotels in Kishangarh, and Kishangarh House in Mount Abu. Author and lecturer on the Radha style and Kishangarh School of miniature painting. Patron and Life Mbr Mayo College General Council. Presdt Rajasthan Kayaking and Canoeing Assoc. Mbr Cycle Polo Fed of India, Delhi Gymkhana Club, etc. m. 9th November 1981, H.H.
