1911 - 1942 H.H. Shri Shaktimant Jhaladipati Mahamandleshwar Maharana Sriraj Maharaja Sir Ghanshyamsinjhi Ajitsinhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharaja Raj Sahib of Dhrangadhra, GCIE (3.6.1922), KCSI (1.1.1917). b. at Dhrangadhra, 31st May 1889, second and eldest surviving son of H.H. Shri Shaktimant Jhaladipati Mahamandleshwar Maharana Sriraj Sir Ajitsinhji Jaswantwinhji Sahib Bahadur, Maharana Raj Sahib of Dhrangadhra, KCSI, by his first wife, H.H. Jamnagarwala Rani Ba Shri Sunderba Kunverba Sahib, educ. Rajkumar Coll, Rajkot, Chircombe Sch., Bideford, and United Services College, Westward Ho!, North Devon, and at Southsea, Hants. Apprenticeship with Cambridge Little-Go and the Metropolitan Police at Scotland Yard studying criminology and detective work 1907-1909. Appointed Maj-Gen Dhrangadhra State Forces 1909, cdt Dhrangadhra State Forces and Cmsnr of Police 1909-1911. Succeeded on the death of his father, 8th February 1911. Ascended the gadi at the Amar Mahal, Jhallisvara Vat Palace, Halvad, 20th February 1911. Granted a permanent salute of 13-guns together with the hereditary title of Maharaja, 1st January 1918. Attended the funeral of the King Emperor George V in London in 1936. A ruler with prodigeous energy, he built a maternity hospital, girl's middle school, and veterinary hospital. He also extednded the railways, promoted the salt industry and established the heavu chemical industry. Hon Maj attached 3rd Cavalry (Duke of Connaught’s Own Lancers) 19/6/1937. Jamnagarwala Rani Ba Shri Pravin Kunverba Sahiba (b. 1893; d.s.p. at Sunder Vilas, Dhrangadhra, 19th October 1912), née Ba Shri Pamba Sahib, elder daughter of Kumar Shri Chandrasinhji Keshrisinhji Sahib, of Mengni, under Nawanagar. m. (second) at Bhadarwa, 2nd June 1910 (sep. 1912), H.H. Bhadarwawala Maharani Ba Shri Prem Kunverba Sahiba, daughter of Shrimant Meherban Namdar Thakore Fatehsinhji Sardarsinhji Sahib, Thakore Sahib of Bhadarwa, by whom he had issue one daughter. m. (third) at Kotda Sangani, 17th February 1913, H.H. Kotdawala Maharani Ba Shri Rajni Anand Kunverba Sahiba [Rajmata Sahib] (b. at Kotda-Sangani, 1895; d. at Sunder Vilas, Dhrangadhra, 1979), eldest daughter of Meherban Dostan Thakore Shri Mulvaji Singhji Sahib, Thakore Sahib of Kotda Sangani, by his first wife, Bhadarwawala Thakorani Ba Shri Hari Kunverba Sahiba, daughter of Shrimant Meherban Namdar Thakore Fatehsinhji Sardarsinhji Sahib, Thakore Sahib of Bhadarwa. m. (fourth) at Amet, 1916, H.H. Ametwala Maharani Ba Shri Ram Kunverba Sahiba (b. at Amet, 1903; d. at Sunder Vilas, Dhrangadhra, 2nd March 1931), daughter of Raoji Shivnath Singh, of Amet, in Udaipur Mewar. m. (fifth) at Jamnagar, 27th April 1920, H.H. Jamnagarwala Maharani Ba Shri Vijay Kunverba Sahiba [Naval Kunverba] (b. at Sarodar, 1902; d. at Sunder Vilas, Dhrangadhra, 1973), younger daughter of Maharaj Shri Jawansinhji Jivansinhji Sahib, of Sarodar, under Nawanagar. He d. from a diabetic coma, at Arsi Vilas, Dhrangadhra, 4th February 1942, having had issue, six sons and nine daughters:

Kotdawala Maharani Ba Shri Rajni Anand Kunverba, educ. Dhrangadhra Rajdham Shala, Dhrangadhra, Millfield Sch, Street, Somerset, Heath Mount Sch, Herts, Haileybury Coll, Herts, St Joseph’s Acad, Dehra Dun, Shivaji Military Sch, Poona, Christ Church, Oxford (B.Litt. 1958), Ruskin Sch of Drawing and Inst of Social Anthropology, Oxford (Dip.). Succeeded on the death of his father, 4th February 1942. Ascended the gadi at the Amar Mahal, Jhallisvara Vat Palace, Halvad, 15th February 1942. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, 8th October 1943. Signed the instrument of accession to the Dominion of India, 9th August 1947. Merged his state into the United State of Kathiawad 15th February 1948, and into the Union of Saurashtra on 26th March 1948. Uprajpramukh of Saurashtra 26th March 1948 to 1952 (sometime acting Rajpramukh and C-in-C State Forces). Became Heir Apparent at birth and formally invested as such, with the title of Yuvraj Sahib of Dhrangadhra-Halvad, at the Ajit Niwas Palace, Dhrangadhra, 1961. Succeeded on the death of his father as Head of the Royal House of Dhrangadhra-Halvad, 1st August 2010. Trustee Raj Karma Shakti Asta. Exec Dir Dhrangadhra Chemical Works (DCW) Ltd, etc. Sovereign of the Sri Saktimat Makhapraphulla Order of Jhalavad since 1st August 2010 (previously Registrar of the order). (first) 6th May 1970, Yuvarani Savitri Devi Sahib (b. 16th November 1941; d. 8th September 1983), née Sahibzadi Shah Nur Bai Sahib, daughter of Sahibzada Ata Muhammad Khan, of Palanpur. m. (second) 21st September 1986, H.H. Shekhawatiji Maharani Shrimati Sri Rajni Aisha Devi Sahiba (b. 1st December 1948), née Yashwant Kumari, daughter of a member of the Shekhawat clan.
