1857 - 1898 H.H. Maharaja Shrimant Sir Anandrao III Puar Sahib Bahadur, Maharaja of Dhar, KCSI (1.1.1877), CIE (1.1.1883). b. 8th April 1844, as Shrimant Anirudharao Yeshwantrao Puar [Bala Sahib], second son of Shrimant Yeshwantrao Dakurjirao Puar [Bhau Sahib], by his second wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Anandibai Sahib Puar, sister of Sardar Khandujirao Sahib Mankar, of Inam. Adopted by his half brother on his deathbed, taking the name of Anandrao Yeshwantrao Raje Sahib Puar, 22nd May 1857. Succeeded him as Anandrao III, 23rd May 1857. Dhar State was briefly confiscated by the GOI, 19th January 1858 but was restored again 1st May 1860. Received a sanad of adoption, 11th March 1862. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers, 1st October 1864. Attended the Imperial Durbar at Delhi, where he received the personal title of Maharaja Bahadur, 11st January 1877. Rcvd: KIH gold medal (1877). m. (first) H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Renukabai Raje Sahib Puar (d. at Dhar 11th January 1890), daughter of Sardar …Raje Mahadik, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Renukabai Sahib Mahadik. m. (second) 11th June 1890, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani …Raje Sahib Puar (d. 1911), daughter of Shrimant Sardar Janrao Sahib Nimbalkar, of Dhar, by his wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Hansabai Raje Sahib Nimbalkar, second daughter of H.H. Raja Shrimant Khem Savant III Bhonsle Bahadur, Sir Desai of Savantwadi. He d.s.p. at Dhar, 15th July 1898 (succ. by his nephew and adopted son).

Maharaja Shrimant Sir Uddajirao II Puar Sahib Bahadur, Maharaja of Dhar, KCSI (12.12.1911), KCVO (22.3.1922), KBE (c 4.12.1917). b. 30th September 1886, as Shrimant Bhagurjirao Sambhajirao Puar, second son of Meherban Shrimant Maharaj Sambhajirao Yeshwantrao [Aba Sahib] Puar, by his third wife, Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharaj Kundubai Sahib Puar, educ. Daly Coll., Indore. Adopted by his uncle, taking the name of Uddajirao Anandrao Raje Sahib Puar, 1897. Succeeded on the death of his uncle and adoptive father, and ascended the gadi on the same day, 29th July 1898. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age, and was invested with full ruling powers, 6th December 1907. Granted the personal title of Maharaja 31st June 1899 (made hereditary, 1st January1918). Hon Maj. 24/5/1922, attached as Hon Officer 17th Queen Victoria's Own Cavalry Poona Horse, prom Hon. Lieut-Col 21/2/1925, Col-in-Chief Dhar Infantry 'Maharaja Anandrao's Own' Laxmi Guards 17/4/1924-1926. Attended the Delhi Coronation Durbars of 1903 and 1911. Recd: Delhi Durbar gold medals (1903 and 1911) and Coron. medal (1911). m. at Wadi, 25th December 1907, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Lakshmi Devibai Raje Sahib Puar [Hansa Bai], DBE (c 3.6.1931), KIH medal 1st class (3.6.1916) (b. at Wadi, 14th December 1890; d. at Dhar, 30th October 1931), Supt. Court of Wards and Controller of the Household Dept. 1912-1913, and Regent for her adopted son from 30th July 1926 to 30th October 1931, eldest daughter of H.H. Raja Shrimant Shriram Savant [Rao Sahib] Bhonsle Bahadur, Sar Desai of Savantwadi, by his first wife, H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Rani Jankibai Raje Sahib Bhonsle, daughter of Shrimant Ganpatrao Sadojirao Jadhavrao, Desai of Raibag. He d. at Salon, Bhaghyat State, 30th July 1926 (succ. by his nephew), having had issue, seven daughters:

Maharaja Shrimant Anandrao IV Puar Sahib Bahadur, Maharaja of Dhar. b. 24th November 1920, as Shrimant Vikramsinhrao Seturamrao Sahib Puar, eldest son of Rao Bahadur Shrimant Maharaj Seturamrao Sambhajirao Sahib Puar, of Multan, by his wife Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharaj Sita Raje Sahib, second daughter of H.H. Shrimant Shriram Savant [Rao Sahib] Bhonsle, Raja Bahadur Sar Desai of Savantwadi. Adopted by his aunt, the widow of Maharaja Sir Uddajirao II Puar, and ascended the gadi on the same day as Anandrao IV, 1st August 1926. Reigned under the Regency of his adopted mother until her death, thenceforth under a Council of Regency until he came of age. Invested with full ruling powers, 16th March 1940. Merged his state into the Madhya Bharat Union, 28th May 1948 and served as Junior Up-Rajpramukh until 31st October 1956. Deprived of his rank, titles and privileges by the government of India, 28th December 1971. Cmsnd. as Hon. Lieut. 4/7/1941, prom Hon. Maj.15/8/1945, and Hon. Lieut-Col. 15/10/1946. Col-in-Chief Dhar Infantry 'Maharaja Anandrao's Own' Laxmi Guards, 1926-1949. Rcvd: Silver Jubilee (1935), Coron. (1937), and Indian Independence (1947) medals. m. H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani Mrunalini Raje Sahib Puar (b. at Pratap Vilas Palace, Baroda, 25th June 1931), Chanc. Maharaja Shivajirao Univ. of Baroda, eldest daughter of Major-General H.H. Farzand-i-Khas-i-Daulat-i-Inglishia, Shrimant Maharaja Sir Pratapsinhrao Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel Shamsher Bahadur, Maharaja of Baroda, GCIE, by his first wife, H.H. Maharani Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Shanta Devi Sahib, daughter of Meherban Shrimant Sardar Mansinhrao [Appa Sahib] Ghorpade, of Hasur, in Kolhapur state. He d. 1989.
