GENEALOGY

1758 - 17xx H.E. Nawab Shri Sardar Muhammad Khan Bahadur Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, second son of H.E. Shri Diwan Nawab Muhammad Bahadur Khan, Nawab of Junagadh (see India (Junagadh)), educ. privately. Entered the Mughal service under his father, and placed in charge of Balasinor by him in 1748. Succeeded on the death of his father, thereby becoming the first independent Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, 28th September 1758. He had issue, a son and a daughter:

17xx - 17xx H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad Jamiat I Khan Sardar Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, son of H.E. Nawab Shri Sardar Muhammad Khan Bahadur Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father. He had issue, a son:

18xx - 1820 H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad Salabat Khan Jamiat Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, son of H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad Jamiat I Khan Sardar Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father. He d.s.p. May 1820, having adopted his nephew Abid as his successor.

1820 - 1822 H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad 'Abid Khan Naver Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, younger son of Khan Shri Nawaz Khanji Banee Khanji Babi, of Cambay, by his wife, the daughter of H.E. Nawab Shri Sardar Muhammad Khan Bahadur Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, educ. privately. Adopted by his maternal uncle and appointed as Heir Apparent. Succeeded on the death of his uncle and adopted father, May 1820. He was deposed in favour of his elder brother, 1822. He had issue, a daughter:

1822 - 1831 H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad Edul Khan Naver Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, elder son of Shri Naver Khan Babi, of Cambay, by his wife, the daughter of H.E. Nawab Shri Sardar Muhammad Khan Bahadur, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, educ. privately. Succeeded on the deposition of his younger brother, 1822. m. Nawab Yamuna Bibi Sahiba (d. at the Darbargadh, Balasinor, 20th May 1841), Regent for her son from 2nd December 1831 to 20th May 1841. He d. at the Darbargadh, Balasinor, 2nd December 1831, having had issue, two sons:

1831 - 1882 H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad Zorawar Khan Edul Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor. b. at the Darbargadh, Balasinor, 1828, elder son of H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad Edul Khan Naver Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 2nd December1831. Reigned under the regency of his mother, until he came of age and assumed full ruling powers in 1843. Rcvd: Prince of Wales's gold medal (1875) and KIH gold medal (1877). m. (first) Nawab Bibi Shri Sardar Bakhte Sahiba, daughter of his paternal uncle H.E. Nawab Shri Muhammad 'Abid Khan Naver Khan Babi, Nawab Sahib of Balasinor. m. (i) Chand Bibi, daughter of a Ghanchi of Balasinor. m. (ii) Gajin Baksh, from Baroda. He d. at the Darbargadh, Balasinor, 30th November 1882, having had issue, two sons and one daughter:
