Prince Senhor Dom Pedro Henrique Affonso Felipe Maria Miguel Gabriel Raphael Gonzaga de Orléans e Bragança, Prince and Head of the Imperial House of Brazil, Prince of Orleans and Braganza. b. at Boulogne-sur-Seine, France, 13th September 1909, eldest son of H.I.H. Prince Luíz de Orléans e Bragança, Prince of Brazil, Prince of Orléans-Braganza, by his wife, H.I.H. Princess Maria das Graças. Styled Prince of Grão Pará together with the style of His Imperial and Royal Highness from birth. Assumed the title of Imperial Prince of Brazil together with the style of His Imperial and Royal Highness on the death of his father, 26th March 1920. Succeeded his grandmother as Prince and Head of the Imperial House of Brazil and Grand Master of the Imperial Orders of the Cross, Dom Pedro I, and the Rose, and of the Military Orders of Our Lord Jesus Christ, St Benedict of Aviz, and St James of the Sword, 14th November 1921. Returned to Brazil with his family after the removal of legal disabilities against the dynasty, which had forced them into exile in 1889. Settled first at Retiro, Petrópolis, then at Fazenda Santa Maria, near Jacarezinho, in the State of Paraná 1951, before finally removing to Site Santa Maria, Vassouras, in the State of Rio de Janeiro in 1964.
